Repsol Honda’s Dani Pedrosa capped off his most successful MotoGP™ season by winning an exciting flag-to-flag race at Valencia
Pedrosa started the race in pit lane after making a late decision to swap to slick tyres and his decision paid off as he went on to cross the finish line 37.661 second ahead of his nearest competitor, Yamaha Factory Racing’s Katsuyuki Nakasuga who scored his first ever MotoGP podium.

The final race of the 2012 MotoGP™ season sees the paddock descend on Valencia’s Circuit Ricardo Tormo as the home fans get to greet their World Champion, Yamaha Factory Racing’s Jorge Lorenzo after the Spaniard clinched the title at the previous round.

Round seventeen and the penultimate round of the 2012 MotoGP™ season takes place at Australia’s Phillip Island circuit, where the picturesque setting of the track belies its status as one of the cruellest on Bridgestone MotoGP tyres.
Round sixteen of the 2012 MotoGP™ season takes place at Sepang International Circuit
A real test of man and machine with its high ambient temperatures and technical layout. Comprising ten right-hand and five left-hand corners and measuring 5,548 metres in length, Sepang’s standout feature are its two long straights that demand excellent stability from the front tyre due to the very hard braking zones at the end. The rest of the circuit is a mix of high and low speed corners that overall place a lot of stress on tyres – particularly at the front.
At approximately 4.8 kilometres in length Motegi is characterised by four straights that create numerous heavy braking and acceleration zones.
Round fifteen of the 2012 MotoGP™ season takes place at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit for one of the most important contests of the year, as the strong Japanese presence in the paddock – including Bridgestone – celebrate their home Grand Prix as the championship battle enters a critical phase.
Pedrosa’s victory at Indianapolis means he closes the gap to Lorenzo in the championship
Dani Pedrosa won his second race of the season at Indianapolis Motor Speedway last Sunday, the Repsol Honda rider winning the race ahead of compatriot Jorge Lorenzo on the Yamaha Factory Racing M1, while Monster Yamaha Tech3’s Andrea Dovizioso notched his fifth podium finish of the year.
