Grand Prix Ski-Doo of Valcourt Presented by FOX
Winner of six Grands Prix Ski-Doo of Valcourt presented by FOX, snowmobile rider Terry Wahl of Greenbush, Minnesota was honoured at the 31st running of the Grand Prix during an official ceremony which saw his name and number raised atop the Golden Grandstand of Circuit Yvon Duhamel, alongside other great names in snowmobile racing.

“Visit Mexico“ brings colour into play
The North American country is promoting itself with the individually coloured letters during 12 of the remaining 18 Grands Prix in the prominent position on the back of the rear wings of the two Sauber C31-Ferraris. At all championship rounds the nation’s name will be present on the cars’ nose cones, on the racing overalls and helmets of drivers Sergio Pérez and Kamui Kobayashi, as well as on the team’s equipment.

Alain Prost has admitted he was amazed when he tuned in on television to recent grands prix.
The four time world champion recently tested the Renault with which he contested the 1983 season, and said it was an eye-opener in contrast to the sport’s most recent races. “I wonder now if the drivers are not too disconnected with a sense of risk,” Prost told the French sports daily L’Equipe.

Formula one drivers should have permanent race numbers that are displayed prominently as in NASCAR. That is the view of FIA president Jean Todt, who admitted he wanted to make changes to make it easier “to identify a driver” during grands prix.

Pirelli announces hard and soft PZero compounds for the first four Grands Prix
Following an extensive campaign of private testing – which took in more than 18,000 kilometres in Europe and the Middle East – plus three group tests to date, Pirelli has nominated the hard and soft dry tyre compounds for the first four rounds of the 2011 Formula One World Championship: Bahrain, Australia, Malaysia and China.

Williams admits losing Webber ‘a mistake’
Red Bull would like to keep Mark Webber on board for the 2011 season. After the Australian driver commandingly won the past two grands prix from pole position and took the lead of the world championship, it is being reported that Red Bull would like to extend his expiring contract.
At the age of 37 and two years since his last grand prix, Pedro de la Rosa has not given up on one day returning to the formula one grid.
