Pirelli’s GP2 and GP3 drivers learn about tyres in Spain
As well as being round three of the GP2 Series, Barcelona marks the start of the European grand prix season and the opening round of this year’s GP3 Series. 
Emphasizing that motor sports is a true global platform, it was announced today that Indian specialty complex engineering company, Ravilla Aerospace Industries will support Conor Daly’s GP3 program for the upcoming season.

Niederhauser on top as Barcelona GP3 test ends
Jenzer Motorsport’s Patric Niederhauser fastest in second official pre-season test
Swiss driver Patric Niederhauser set a blistering laptime of 1:33.750 which was an impressive 4.2 seconds faster than the best GP3 lap set at the Circuit de Catalunya in 2012. It was another trouble-free test session in Barcelona with the second generation car as the full grid of 27 drivers fought with the mixed weather conditions. Aaro Vainio was quickest in the afternoon for Koiranen GP.

Son of Damon Hill to contest FIA F3 European Championship
Josh Hill and Dmitry Suranovich will contest the 2013 FIA Formula 3 European Championship for Fortec Motorsport.
22-year-old Josh Hill, the son of the 1996 Formula 1 World Champion Damon Hill, joins Puerto Rican Felix Serralles and Brazilian Luis Felipe Derani as third Fortec driver and the quartet will be completed by Russia’s 17-year-old former GP3 driver Dmitry Suranovich.

Bamboo Engineering’s Lewis Williamson ends first pre-season GP3 Portuguese test on top
Two new teams finished quickest in both the morning and afternoon session with Kevin Korjus and his Finnish outfit for Koiranen GP fastest posting the fastest time in the first half of the day with Williamson finishing the final day on top.

Spaniard Sainz Jr quickest again on day two in Estoril
MW Arden rookie Carlos Sainz Jnr fastest in first pre-season GP3 test
Carlos Sainz Jr made it two out of two after posting the best laptime for the second day in succession with David Fumanelli (Trident) who was fastest in the morning session. It was another trouble-free day with the GP3/13 car with 833 laps covered in Estoril by the full grid of 27 drivers.

Atech Grand Prix becomes Bamboo Engineering
British team joins forces with GP3 team Atech
GP3 Series organisers are pleased to announce that Atech Grand Prix and Bamboo Engineering have joined forces and will compete in GP3 for the 2013-2015 seasons under the name of the Silverstone Technology Park-based team. Founded in 2009, Bamboo Engineering have competed in the prestigious World Touring Car Championship. The newly-named team will run their GP3/13 cars for the first time on February 20-22 for the first official pre-season testing of year.

Horner ‘happy’ with Webber after Marko spat
Boss Christian Horner has played down the significance of an apparent spat between Mark Webber and the team’s outspoken Dr Helmut Marko.
Recently, Austrian Marko suggested Red Bull’s main allegiance is to triple world champion Sebastian Vettel, because of Australian Webber’s inconsistent form. Webber, who on Sunday attended his seventh consecutive Red Bull launch, had hit back that it has been clear “for a long time” that he is not part of Marko’s “agenda”.

The Sauber F1 team launches the new Sauber C32-Ferrari
The Sauber F1 Team presents the Sauber C32-Ferrari to its partners and the media today, Saturday, 2nd February.
Drivers Nico Hülkenberg (DE, 25) and Esteban Gutiérrez (MX, 21) pulled back the covers on the new car at the team’s base in Hinwil, Switzerland. The roll-out of the Sauber C32 will take place during the first winter test at Jerez de la Frontera on 5th February.
