Arden driver dominates opening race of the 2012 season

Luiz Razia is a happy man: a perfect get away from the front row and a flawless drive meant he took a lights to flag win today in the Sepang Feature Race. It was also the first win for the Brazilian’s team Arden International, since Charles Pic in Barcelona Feature Race in 2010. Lotus GP driver ends final pre-season test with another fastest laptime

Esteban Gutiérrez set the quickest laptime again in today’s final pre-season test in Barcelona. The young Mexican set a laptime of 1:29.154 in the morning session ahead of last week’s fastest man in Jerez, Davide Valsecchi. Davide Valsecchi was quickest again today in Jerez in an eventful test session. The DAMS driver set his best laptime of 1:25.567 early in the day. His closest rival, Stefano Coletti, ended one tenth behind the Italian.

The final round of the 2011 GP2 Asia Series opened this morning at Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola with two practice sessions, giving drivers more track time to learn the new layout. San Marino track to host final round on March 18, 19 and 20

Imola will host the final round of the 2011 GP2 Asia Series on March 18, 19 and 20. This will mark the return of the Series to the San Marino track since 2006 where Gianmaria Bruni and Ernesto Viso respectively triumphed for Trident Racing and Racing Engineering. This is also where the GP2 Series held its first ever race weekend on April 23-24 2005 with Heikki Kovalainen winning the feature race for Arden International and Adam Carroll snatching victory in the sprint race for Super Nova Racing. DPR driver sets fastest laptime of post season test in Abu Dhabi

The Yas Marina Circuit hosted the fourth and last post season test day today marking the end of the 2010 campaign, but also the last run of the GP2/08 car after three thrilling seasons that crowned Italian Giorgio Pantano, German Nico Hülkenberg and Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado.
