British driver leads RUSSIAN TIME 1-2 in Round 4 free practice
Sam Bird set the tone in this morning’s free practice in the streets of Monaco: the Brit’ from RUSSIAN TIME clocked a laptime of 1:21.512 in a trouble free session, five hundredths quicker than teammate Tom Dillmann. Rookie Mitch Evans finished third.

Racing Engineering driver stuns the rest of the field in qualifying session
Fabio Leimer has once again proclaimed himself as the man to beat this weekend as he dominated today’s qualifying session at Bahrain International Circuit. The Swiss driver set an impressive laptime of 1:39.427, nine tenths clear of Marcus Ericsson. Felipe Nasr finished third.

Rapax driver quickest on final pre-season test day in Barcelona
Less than two weeks before the 2013 GP2 Series season kicks off in Malaysia, Stefano Coletti confirmed his good form today: the Monegasque driver topped a dry testing day in Barcelona in the morning session with a laptime of 1:29.055. Felipe Nasr was fastest in the afternoon for Carlin.

ART Grand Prix driver finishes second day of pre-season test on top
The 2012 GP2 Series best rookie James Calado was the quickest man today on a damp Circuit de Catalunya in this morning’s session with a laptime of 1:50.218. Johnny Cecotto topped the timesheet in the afternoon a shy nine hundredth away from Calado.

James Calado concluded his week’s work in the best possible way. Lasts season’s best rookie was quickest today at Circuito de Jerez with a laptime of 1:24.659 set this afternoon. Adrian Quaife-Hobbs set the best laptime in the morning for newcomers MP Motorsport.

Hilmer Racing driver confirms top form on Day 2 of pre-season test session
Once again, Tom Dillmann put newcomers Hilmer Motorsport on top in Jerez as the GP2 Series teams prepare for the 2013 season. On the second day of the first pre-season test session at Circuito de Jerez, the Frenchman set the quickest laptime in the morning with a 1:24.400. Stéphane Richelmi at DAMS was fastest in the afternoon.

Hilmer Motorsport driver quickest on first day of GP2 Series pre-season test in Spain
It was a perfect way for newcomers Hilmer Motorsport to start their GP2 career: on the opening day of the first pre-season test session, the German squad put Tom Dillmann at the top of the timesheets. The Frenchman who was testing for Hilmer today set a laptime of 1:25.059 in the final minutes of the afternoon session.

First three-day pre-season test session opens tomorrow in Spain
The 2013 GP2 Series officially kicks off tomorrow for the first test session of the year at Circuito de Jerez in Spain. Teams and drivers have gathered at the Spanish track for three days in order to prepare for the ninth season of the category which will open in twenty-four days in Sepang, Malaysia.

Caterham Racing GP2 driver graduates to Formula One
Caterham F1 Team has today confirmed that Giedo van der Garde, the team’s 2012 Reserve Driver, has been promoted to a full-time race seat, completing the team’s 2013 driver line-up with Charles Pic.
EQ8, the natural energy drink, has increased its support for GP2 team Caterham Racing and is now the team’s title sponsor with the team being renamed EQ8 Caterham Racing with immediate effect.
