EQ8, the natural energy drink, has increased its support for GP2 team Caterham Racing and is now the team’s title sponsor with the team being renamed EQ8 Caterham Racing with immediate effect.

Caterham F1 Team Restructures Driver Line-Up
Kovalainen to drive Caterham in Bahrain, Barcelona practice
Caterham F1 Team has announced that it is restructuring its driver line-up with Heikki Kovalainen rejoining the team as one of the two Reserve Drivers, alongside current Reserve Driver Alexander Rossi who moves to Caterham Racing to compete in the 2013 GP2 Championship in the car raced by Ma Qing Hua at the season opening GP2 race in Malaysia.

Sergio Canamasas signs for Caterham Racing
Spanish racer Sergio Canamsas has today finalised a deal to contest the 2013 GP2 Championship with Caterham Racing.
In addition to his GP2 role Sergio will be Caterham F1 Team’s 2013 Development Driver and his duties will include F1 simulator work at Leafield Technical Centre, as well as straight-line aero testing for the F1 team.

Chilton denies wealthy father buying Marussia
Max Chilton has denied claims he has only made the grade as a formula one driver because his wealthy father is buying the Marussia team.
Chilton’s father Grahame, a leading executive of the insurance giant Aon, owns the Carlin team that Max drove for last year, and is also heavily involved in the touring car career of his other son, the six-years-older Tom.

Valsecchi prefers Lotus over backmarker race seat
Davide Valsecchi, the reigning GP2 champion, insists he would rather be Lotus’ reserve driver than a racer for one of F1′s slowest teams.
A look at the standings of last year’s GP2 championship shows that drivers Italian Valsecchi beat to the title – Esteban Gutierrez, Max Chilton and Giedo van der Garde – have successfully made the step up to the F1 grid for 2013.

Less than two weeks before the 2013 GP2 Series season kicks off in Malaysia, Stefano Coletti confirmed his good form today: the Monegasque driver topped a dry testing day in Barcelona in the morning session with a laptime of 1:29.055. Felipe Nasr was fastest in the afternoon for Carlin.
