BBC ‘unwise’ to consider F1 axe – Whitmarsh
“I think it would be very sad, and most unwise”
It would be “sad” and “unwise” if reports the BBC is considering dropping its live coverage of formula one in Britain are true. That is the claim of McLaren and FOTA chief Martin Whitmarsh, following the Sunday Times article about the broadcaster axing F1 after 2013 in order to save money.

Suzuka to host next three Japanese GPs

Suzuka will host the next three consecutive Japanese grand prix, the owners of the circuit announced in a statement on Sunday.They had met at Valencia with F1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone, to discuss how to move forward following the withdrawal from the calendar of the Toyota-owned Fuji Speedway.
Owners Toyota have decided to no longer host the Japanese grand prix at Fuji Speedway, the Asahi newspaper reported on Friday. 
Amid drivers’ concerns about some of the championship leader’s recent on-track manoeuvres, the Australian had compared Hamilton’s start at Fuji a week ago with Monza in 2000.
