The FAZZT Race Team is pleased with the announcement that an agreement was reached in order to return the Edmonton Indy race to the IZOD IndyCar Series 2011 season schedule. Quotes from the team are presented below for the use by the media.

IZOD IndyCar Series race: 16 of 17
Drivers of the IZOD IndyCar Series will compete this weekend in the penultimate race of the 2010 season at the 2.414-km Twin Ring Motegi tri-oval located 130 kilometers north of Tokyo in Japan. For FAZZT Race Team driver Alex Tagliani, this will be his fourth visit at the oval track, but his first in Japan since 2002 where he posted his career-best oval track result with a second-place finish. The Canadian driver has scored three poles in 37 oval track starts: Brazil in 2000; Fontana, California in 2001; and Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2003.

Brazilian Helio Castroneves won the race, Tagliani 15th
Against all odds, Brazilian Helio Castroneves won the race crossing the finish line more than 13 seconds ahead of polesitter Ed Carpenter. Team Penske’s race strategy worked its magic during his fuel economy run near the end of the event as all his opponents had to pit for a splash of fuel in the closing moments of the 200-lap affair. Dan Wheldon finished third ahead of Tony Kanaan and Dario Franchitti. Marco Andretti came in sixth, followed by Scott Dixon and Will Power.

FAZZT Race Team driver Alex Tagliani finished 22nd overall in Friday’s practice leading to Sunday’s Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio. Tagliani’s quickest lap was posted on the 19th of 22 laps he completed today, when he went around the 3.634-kilometer Mid-Ohio road course in 1 minute 09.2814 seconds for an average speed of 188.824 km/h.

Tony Kanaan Wins the Iowa Corn Indy 250
FAZZT Race Team was hoping for a better outcome to close out the first oval track portion of the 2010 schedule, but Canadian driver Alex Tagliani wound up in 12th place, two laps behind race winner Tony Kanaan in round 8 of the IZOD IndyCar Series held Sunday on the 1.408-kilometer Iowa Speedway

FAZZT COO announcement
The FAZZT Race Team announced today that team General Manager Rob Edwards has been named Chief Operating Officer of the FAZZT Race Team. Those responsibilities will include overseeing the commercial operations and sales division of the FAZZT Race Team. Edwards replaces former COO Jim Freudenberg who resigned his position earlier this month for personal reasons.

Top-10 Finish for Tagliani at the Indy 500
In a race that was played in the pit lane and where many on track incidents changed the course of the race, FAZZT Race Team driver Alex Tagliani stayed out of trouble to finish 10th in the Indy 500 race held Sunday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Starting from fifth on the grid, the Canadian driver ran in the top four in the first segment of the race.

In the final practice for the Indy 500
Canadian driver Alex Tagliani was tenth quickest during Carb Day, the ultimate practice session before the start of the Indy 500, scheduled to run this Sunday, May 30. Tagliani posted his best time on the 43rd of the 46 laps he completed today, driving around the 4.023-kilometer Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 40.3644 seconds for an average speed of 359.725 km/h.
