Bologna-based racer awarded as top BMW ambassador of 2012 after successful Superstars campaign
The 2012 edition of the BMW Sports Trophy Award ceremony has been one to remember for Thomas Biagi. The BMW-promoted competition celebrated its 51st anniversary this season and the Italian-based racer, a double Superstars champion in 2010 and a key man in the 2012 teams’ title win by Team Dinamic, proved the man of the night in Munich.

International recognition keeps growing for the International, FG Group-promoted series
Superstarsworld has become the pinnacle of international motorsport thanks to the great achievements of a spectacular season and to the many acknowledgements received along the way. Last weekend, the 47th “Caschi d’Oro” award ceremony was held by weekly Magazine Autosprint, in an event that once again celebrated the most successful names in motor racing, and the new FG Group package, SRW (Superstars World Of Racing) was awarded as the best racing promoter of 2012.

The young, Veneto-based racer won an all-BMW competition in front of a massive crowd in Bologna
The 2012 Motor Show has been a very exciting one in Bologna, as promising Giovanni Berton took a spectacular win in the Superstars Internatinal Series race at the historical Area 48 circuit. In front of a warm crowd, Berton beat his Team BMW Dinamic team-mate Thomas Biagi to tame the demanding Motor Sport Arena and honour the Bavarian-based manufacturer that he represented so well during the season.

Italian-based squad fields two cars for 2012 regular Francesco Sini and Austrian youngster Florian Renauer
Team Solaris Motorsport was back on-track for a test session this week at Adria, as the Pescara-based operation continued to work hard after the conclusion of the 2012 Superstars International Series. The team, managed by Christian Grasso, fielded their two Chevrolet Lumina racecars after a major rebuild which followed the last round of the season at Pergusa.

Sicilian fans set for breath-taking race day action
The Superstars International Series featured a spectacular qualifying session on Saturday at Pergusa. Three different car brands shared the top-three at the fast Sicilian venue, hosting the final round of the 2012 season. The pole went to championship newcomer Raffaele Giammaria, who set a fastest mark of 1’42″589 to edge Jaguar’s Max Pigoli, running for Team Ferlito aboard an XF model.

The Superstars Pergusa roster welcomes a new addition to an already exciting competition
The Superstars International Series is ready to rev it up again this weekend at Pergusa for the final round of the season and a great new addition has made it to the roster. At the Sicilian venue, Solaris Motorsport will field two Chevrolet Lumina racers – the team’s second American-powered car will be featuring experienced Simone Iacone behind the wheel. Born and raised in Pescara, Iacone will join Francesco Sini, who drove the Lumina to positive results this season, including an outstanding win at Mugello and a podium finish behind Tonio Liuzzi and Max Pigoli at Monza.

The race fans in Sicily are renowned to be incredibly passionate and supportive, and that affection generated an history that started in 1906 with the first edition of the Targa Florio race. SUPERSTARS will line-up at Pergusa, near the city of Enna, to add another spectacular chapter to that glorious history and many of the strongest racecar drivers of the region answered the bell for the last 2012 round of the GTSPRINT INTERNATIONAL SERIES.
