Next stop Spa – Mark’s preview to the second race of the 2014 WEC season

Spa is, without a doubt, one of the best races on the calendar and it is also one of my favourite tracks.

Schumacher hints intention to race in 2013

Webber pass too risky and ‘stupid’ – Berger

Gerhard Berger has criticised Mark Webber for taking too big a risk in his battle with Fernando Alonso at Spa two weeks ago.

Maldonado faces exclusion for Hamilton incident

Pastor Maldonado could be thrown out of the Belgian grand prix for an incident during qualifying at wet Spa-Francorchamps.

FIA bans DRS for Spa’s Eau Rouge

As reported earlier this year, the ‘DRS’ overtaking system will be banned completely at Spa-Francorchamps’ fearsome Eau Rouge this weekend.

Spa-FrancorchampsFlagworld - FIAThe BBC on Monday night reported that the governing FIA has informed the teams of the ban on safety grounds through the famous up-and-down, left-and-right sweeper. At other circuits, drivers are free to trigger the adjustable rear wing in order to increase top speed throughout practice and qualifying sessions.

Hegewald takes stunning pole for Race One at Spa

Tobias Hegewald has continued his superb run of form today at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, by taking a stunning maiden pole for tomorrow’s first F2 race. The German, who has topped every session so far in Spa, set his best time of 2:08.890s shortly after a red flag period to recover Sebastian Hohenthal’s stricken car from the top of Eau Rouge.
