The second race of the day for the eni FIM Superbike World Championship was once again a close encounter, with reigning World Superbike Champion Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) coming out victorious to take an impressive double in front of his home crowd, just like one year ago.
Donington Park will host Round 5 of the 2014 eni FIM Superbike World Championship this weekend.
This will be the 22nd time the Superbikes will hit the Leicestershire track, the first of which dates back to April 3rd 1988, when it all started. The first ever event in the history of the series saw local rider Roger Burnett (Honda) taking pole position, while the two races were won by Italians Davide Tardozzi (Bimota) and Marco Lucchinelli (Ducati).

The Superstarsworld is ready to be back on-track this weekend at the famed Donington Park venue in the UK. The 500+ horsepower engines of the Superstars and GTSprint cars will be back roaring tomorrow with the running of practice and qualifying.
