Force India has hit back at claims co-owner Vijay Mallya’s reported financial problems could sink the Silverstone based team.
Citing sources, the Italiaracing magazine had said former Indian billionaire Mallya’s “severe economic difficulties” meant Bernie Ecclestone has “activated a plan to save the team”. The report mentioned the possibility of a return to F1 for Colin Kolles, or even Flavio Briatore.

The Indian was ousted by the formerly Colin Kolles-led outfit last year but rehired by its new management for 2012. However, his return got off to the worst-possible start in March when both he and teammate Pedro de la Rosa failed to qualify in Australia.
Martin Brundle has admitted he is surprised HRT is still struggling so much at the start of its third season in formula one.
HRT has confirmed that its 2012 car, the F112, will finally make its track debut on Monday.
Recently, the FIA barred Red Bull and Ferrari from tweaking their test schedules so that their Barcelona running could end on Monday. But struggling backmarker HRT asked its rivals for special permission, given it had yet to use its separate allowed test day for ‘filming and promotional’ purposes.
