Racing Engineering is pleased to announce that their drivers for the 2013 GP2 Series will be Fabio Leimer and Julián Leal.
The 23 year-old Swiss Fabio Leimer has come up through Formula BMW, Formula Renault and International Formula Master racing and he already has plenty of GP2 experience having made his debut in the 2009–10 GP2 Asia Series.

Vietoris is more than happy to miss out on the F1 trial to be involved in the DTM testing with Mercedes
Christian Vietoris was actually due to link up with the Lotus Renault GP team for this week’s Young Driver Test in Abu Dhabi, but he has now pulled out. Instead, he will be spending Tuesday to Thursday taking the new DTM AMG Mercedes C Coupé out for the first time at the Monte Blanco circuit in Spain.
The rookie lineup for next month’s young driver test in Abu Dhabi is taking shape.
Some brand new names are in the mix, according to Italy’s Autosprint magazine. One is the 22-year-old Monegasque driver Stefano Coletti, who has reportedly secured one of the seats that according to speculation has been sold by Toro Rosso.
Two days of test in Jerez
Although the 2011 Series finished two weeks ago at Monza, the GP2 teams are not resting and they will all be meeting again at the Spanish track of Jerez on the 28th and 29th of this month for an official test session to give the teams an opportunity to test new and up-and-coming drivers.
Ekström leads Audi 1-2-3 at Oschersleben
Three Audi drivers on the podium: the eighth DTM season round at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben took place under the sign of the four rings. In adverse weather conditions, Mattias Ekström (Audi) won from his fellow Audi drivers Martin Tomczyk and Edoardo Mortara.

Christian Vietoris has held on against race long pressure from Fabio Leimer to claim his second victory of the season this morning in the sprint race at Monza: the German led his Swiss rival and Jules Bianchi from lights to flag in the final race of the 2011 GP2 season.
Italian delights home fans with win
Luca Filippi brought delight to the hearts of his countrymen with a lights to flag victory in this afternoon’s feature race at his home circuit of Monza: the Italian blew past poleman Charles Pic to lead home the Frenchman and his compatriot Romain Grosjean by over five seconds.
Frenchman claims top spot in Italy
Charles Pic has claimed his third pole position of the year, pipping local hero Luca Filippi to the post (and handing the Italian his fourth P2 in a row in qualifying) in this afternoon’s scorching qualifying session in Monza, with Fabio Leimer claiming third with a time which was just one tenth off pole.

Christian Vietoris has made a strong impression in today’s qualifications at Spa-Francorchamps. The German driver set the quickest laptime on his final lap in a wet session and in difficult track conditions. Scuderia Coloni Luca Filippi finished P2, 1.4s slower than the German.
