Koiranen GP finish one-two in Barcelona Race 2
What a debut: Koiranen GP, newcomers to GP3 Series this season, certainly made an impression with a superb one-two with Aaro Vainio and rookie Kevin Korjus in their maiden race weekend. Jenzer Motorsport’s Patric Niederhauser joined the pair on the podium.

MW Arden’s Carlos Sainz Jr quickest in first official 2013 pre-season test in Estoril
The long winter is over! The GP3/13 car made its eagerly anticipated first appearance for the inaugural official pre-season test at Circuito Estoril today. With a full grid of 27 drivers, the new car has already proven to be a success with a trouble free day and already more than 3 seconds faster than its previous generation on the same track. Two teams join the Series: Koiranen GP from Finland and Bamboo Engineering from the UK.

Toro Rosso is sticking with its current drivers, Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne, for the 2013 season.
Australian Ricciardo, and 22-year-old Frenchman Vergne who is a year younger, moved into the Faenza based team’s race seats when Toro Rosso ousted Jaime Alguersuari and Sebastien Buemi at the end of last season. “Both drivers have done a good job this season,” said team boss Franz Tost.

Carlos Sainz, a Spanish rallying legend, thinks Fernando Alonso could one day be regarded as the greatest driver in formula one history.
The two-time world rally champion defended his countryman, amid suggestions the Ferrari driver is not the friendliest driver on the grid. “Fernando is much more normal than people think, simply he has a lot of pressure on him at most times,” Sainz, 50, told El Confidencial.

Carlos Sainz jr is on course for a future in formula one.
The 17-year-old Spaniard is the son of Carlos Sainz, the former two-time world rally champion. Sainz jr, however, has pursued a career in open wheelers, and – now that Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne have stepped up – he is the new cream of energy drink Red Bull’s junior driver programme.

Barcelona hosts two day test session with 26 drivers in the line-up
Three weeks after the first official test session for GP3 in Estoril, the series returns to action with the second official pre season test at the Circuit de Catalunya and it’s going to be lively on track with 26 drivers lining up in the field.

American driver Michael Lewis experienced mixed fortunes this past weekend as the Formula BMW Championship rolled into Valencia for Rounds 5 and 6. Michael and his two Eurointernational teammates, Carlos Sainz Jr. and Daniil Kvyat, were eagerly anticipating the opportunity to tackle this challenging street circuit located in the heart of the Spanish city.

To famous Formula 1 Hungaroring circuit at Formula BMW collective test
On his inaugural visit to the legendary Hungaroring circuit in Budapest, Hungary, Michael Lewis got up to speed quickly at the Formula BMW Collective Test Session on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 25 and 26, by setting the fastest time at one of the four sessions.
