The highest placed American drivers under 20 years-old in both the F2000 Championship Series and the F1600 Formula F Championship Series prior to the conclusion of the season (following F2000 at Mosport and F1600 at Mid-Ohio) will be included among the list of candidates for prestigious Team USA Scholarships.










F2000’s Jonathan Scarallo competed in the Team USA Scholarship shootout in Arizona yesterday. The young driver is coming off a huge first-career F2000 victory at Road America and was one of the handful of drivers handpicked by Jeremy Shaw to compete in the shootout to ultimately represent the United States in the end-of-year Formula Ford events in England. 
With three minutes remaining Sunday at New Jersey Motorsports Park, Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas were looking to make GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 history. Then, Alex Gurney and Jon Fogarty made some history of their own.
Already running at the limit, Memo Rojas was told he needed to go a little faster in Friday’s qualifying for the EMCO Gears Classic presented by KeyBank at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. He responded with a track record lap in the final minute of the 15-minute session to take the pole from Ricky Taylor.
