Last weekend’s Dutch TT at Assen was affected by variable weather conditions that resulted in the race being a flag-to-flag affair at which Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez won ahead of Ducati’s Andrea Dovizioso and Dani Pedrosa on the other Repsol Honda RC213V.
Round 8: Dutch TT – Race
Today’s Dutch TT at Assen was an eventful flag-to-flag contest, with a wet track at the start of the race rapidly drying over the twenty-six laps, but in the end there was no stopping Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez who adapted best to the changing conditions for his eighth consecutive victory in 2014.

Round eight of the 2014 season is one of the true icons of the MotoGP™ calendar; the Dutch TT at Assen. This 4.542 kilometre circuit features a variety of slow and fast corners which demand a good bike setup and tyres with high levels of grip and stability.
Ultimately it was Marquez who claimed victory to extend his perfect record in 2014, with Rossi finishing second and Pedrosa third.
Last weekend’s Catalan Grand Prix at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya was one for the ages, with a thrilling three-way battle for victory between Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa, and Movistar Yamaha MotoGP’s Valentino Rossi producing one of the most exciting encounters in recent years.

A thrilling Italian Grand Prix at Mugello last weekend saw Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez continue his winning-streak to six races, although by the barest of margins over Movistar Yamaha MotoGP’s Jorge Lorenzo who battled the regining champion right to the finish line.
Round 6: Italian MotoGP™ – Free Practice 1&2
Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez was quickest on a rain-interrupted Friday at Mugello, setting a time of 1’48.004 in the dry Free Practice One session, before intermittent rain prevented any riders improving their times in the afternoon Free Practice Two session.
Round 6 preview
Mugello is the venue for round six of the MotoGP™ championship, and the Italian circuit is a favourite for riders and fans alike due to its picturesque hill-side setting and its fast layout which sees the fire-breathing 1000cc machines reach one of the their fastest top speeds of the season.

Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez continued his dominant form in this year’s MotoGP™ World Championship by maintaining his perfect win record for 2014 with victory at the French Grand Prix ahead of Movistar Yamaha MotoGP’s Valentino Rossi in second place, and GO&FUN Honda Gresini’s Alvaro Bautista in third.
