Mygale North America will import the French manufacturer’s race cars to the United States and Canada
Bryan Herta Autosport team owners Bryan Herta and Steve Newey have partnered with Indianapolis based businessman and Jeffrey Mark Motorsport team owner Jeff Mark to form Mygale North America. Mygale North America will import the French manufacturer’s race cars to the United States and Canada and provide customer support for new and existing Mygale car owners.

A partnership between Bryan Herta Autosport and Lotus Motorsport was officially unveiled today during a press conference held at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Bryan Herta was on hand for the announcement which will see the Indianapolis 500 winning team enter the IZOD IndyCar Series as a full-time participant in 2012 utilizing the Lotus V-6 powerplant.

Bryan Herta Autosport co-owners Bryan Herta and Steve Newey today announced that 2005 Indianapolis 500 winner and IZOD IndyCar Series Champion Dan Wheldon will drive the team’s Dallara/Honda/Firestone entry in the historic 100th Anniversary Indianapolis 500-Mile Race on May 29.

Scarallo getting ready in one of the Corvettes
F2000’s Jonathan Scarallo competed in the Team USA Scholarship shootout in Arizona yesterday. The young driver is coming off a huge first-career F2000 victory at Road America and was one of the handful of drivers handpicked by Jeremy Shaw to compete in the shootout to ultimately represent the United States in the end-of-year Formula Ford events in England.

We tested a lot of things yesterday, and the plan for today was to start looking for some speed right away to try to move up the speed chart. That was our goal and we did it. From there, we were trying different things to keep improving our time. I felt very comfortable with the car, and I’m looking forward to tomorrow.”

Bryan Herta Autosport fared at both ends of the spectrum on the streets of Long Beach
Sebastian Saavedra brought the #29 William Rast Dallara/Firestone home in fourth position to earn valuable points in the championship standings while teammate Stefan Wilson suffered misfortune with an electrical problem which ended his day early in today’s Firestone Indy Lights race.
