Despite missing out on title at first attempt in dramatic fashion
Drama and action aplenty in the 10th and final round of the British GT Championship at Silverstone (GB) yesterday (October 8) which saw a United Autosports Audi dominate over half of a two-hour race and the Anglo-American team’s “sister” R8 LMS of Matt Bell (GB) and Mike Guasch (USA) battling for the championship “crown”.

First races for Bintcliffe & Palmer in Audi R8 LMS on United Autosports début
Twelve months ago in the corresponding British GT Championship opener at Oulton Park (England), United Autosports made its race début just three months after the formation of the Anglo-American team and three weeks after taking delivery of its Audi R8 LMS sports cars.

Mike Robinson will stay with Total Control Racing for a fourth year of competition in 2011 but the ELF Renault Clio Cup front-runner has confirmed he will be trying his hand at something different after today, Friday, 28th January, announcing his participation in the popular Ginetta Challenge.

New Audi “customer” team achieves top positions on British GT Championship début with R8 LMS
Just three months after the formation of United Autosports and less than one month since the American-owned, British-based team took delivery of its 2010-specification Audi R8 LMS sports cars, the Zak Brown and Richard Dean led outfit made a promising race début Easter Monday, April 5.
