People from around the world have been uploading their photos and donating to Wings for Life.
Red Bull Racing drivers Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber unveiled their Wings for Life cars today ahead of this weekend’s British Grand Prix. Both will drive their specially-branded RB8s, which each feature more than 25,000 photos that have been sent in by fans, throughout the race weekend.

There will only be a single ‘DRS’ overtaking zone at Silverstone this weekend.
In Canada and again at Valencia two weeks ago, there were two overtaking zones but only a single detection point — a system that arguably worked too well in Canada, and not well enough on the streets of the Spanish port city.

Round 6: British GP – Free Practice One & Two
The opening day of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone was punctuated by mixed conditions. The morning’s free practice was dry whilst the afternoon’s was wet following a rain shower just before it started, giving riders the chance to use both Bridgestone’s slick and wet tyres.

85,000 spectators were at Silverstone on Friday
As Silverstone’s new 17-year contract kicks off this weekend, Bernie Ecclestone said he is happy with the circuit. The F1 chief executive has been a staunch critic of the ageing venue, and the sport would have moved away for 2010 had Donington’s plans not fallen through.

Tavo Hellmund and Susan Combs will be at the British grand prix.
Leading figures of the 2012 United States grand prix in Texas will be trackside at Silverstone this weekend. According to the local Austin newspaper Statesman, promoter Tavo Hellmund as well as Texas comptroller Susan Combs will be at the British grand prix.

Lewis Hamilton’s father has not yet accepted an invitation to attend his first race since their professional split. Anthony Hamilton was the McLaren driver’s ever-present manager for his first three seasons in formula one, but 25-year-old Hamilton told his father he wanted to go it alone in 2010 and beyond.

Mark Webber awoke on Monday morning determined to return to the cockpit of his Red Bull at Silverstone next weekend. The Australian on Sunday survived one of the most frightening crashes seen in recent times, when his RB6 struck the rear of Heikki Kovalainen’s Lotus before backflipping and wiping out an advertising hoarding.

Silverstone plans new layout for British GP
Bernie Ecclestone insists he is taking a financial hit by agreeing a new deal for the British grand prix. The website of the British newspaper the Daily Telegraph also quoted the 79-year-old F1 chief executive as saying Silverstone will “make a fortune” from the 17-year agreement.

Donington can still host 2010 British GP – Gillett
Silverstone is close to securing a long-term deal to keep hosting the British grand prix, according to the circuit’s managing director. Bernie Ecclestone has imposed a December 9 deadline for a deal to be reached, and left the door open to Donington resurrecting its failed race plans.
German driver Timo Glock revealed on Friday that the car, which will reportedly sport a mainly black livery for the British team’s debut this season, is to run at the British GP circuit over two days. 
Bernie Ecclestone has warned that, if next month’s World Motor Sport Council were to be held today, the British grand prix would be scratched from the 2010 calendar.
