Dragon wins Vermont 100 in dramatic fashion
Milton, VT’s Brent Dragon proved himself as one of the greats in the most dramatic race of the year at the Vermont State Championship Series finale at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Sunday, September 16. Chip Grenier finished a heart-breaking second, and the Mad River Valley’s Brooks Clark stole third in the closing laps.

Former winner files surprise entry
American Canadian Tour sensation Joey Polewarczyk Jr., of Hudson, NH has filed his entry for the Vermont Governor’s Cup 150 presented by the VT State Lottery Commission this Thursday night at Barre’s Thunder Road. Polewarczyk will join multi-time Thunder Road Champion Phil Scott, Late Model point leader Nick Sweet, and Vermont State Championship Series point leader Brent Dragon as early favorites to take the cup.

Competitors to return to Barre’s Thunder Road for Governor’s Cup
The 2012 Vermont State Stock Car Championship Series heats up just in time for the crown jewel of the four race series: The VT State Lottery Commission Governor ’s Cup 150 at Thunder Road. Milton’s Brent Dragon leads the swarming field to the “Nation’s Site of Excitement” on Thursday, July 12 with a slim 6-point lead over multi-time Thunder Road Champion Phil Scott.

For the first time in American Canadian Tour Late Model history
The season will come to a close with a doubleheader weekend. The ACT Tour, Série ACT Castrol and Bond/WIX Tiger Tour point battles will conclude on Saturday, October 8 with the Rent-A-Wreck Fall Foliage 200 at Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh, NY.

Winthrop, Maine’s Jeff White earned his first career American Canadian Tour win in dominant fashion at his hometrack of Oxford Plains Speedway on Saturday, June 4. White led all but three laps in the Big JAB 150 while battling with seven time and defending ACT Champion Brian Hoar.

American Canadian Tour (ACT) first ever appearance
The American Canadian Tour (ACT) will make its first ever appearance at the fast ½ mile Devil’s Bowl Speedway in West Haven, VT this Sunday afternoon. The 38th running of the Spring Green 111 is expecting to have over 30 teams converge on the scenic, newly paved speed plant, built and operated by the Richards family since 1967.

Divisional Champions lead 2011 Thunder Road Rookie Class
The 13th annual Merchants Bank 150 will open the new season at Thunder Road International Speedbowl on Sunday, May 1, 2011. There is no track on the American Canadian Tour (ACT) schedule that presents a bigger challenge to the ACT regular touring teams than Thunder Road and its regular teams. As many as eight (8) former Thunder Road “King of the Road” champions are expected to be at the opening event.

Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. dominates Waterford 150
Hudson, NH’s Joey Polewarczyk, Jr., a.k.a. Joey Pole, continued his American Canadian Tour hot streak with a dominating win in the final ACT Late Model Tour event of the 2010 season. Pole led 137 laps of the Waterford 150 at Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, CT. The 21 year old has now won his last three ACT events including the ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in September and the Milk Bowl at Thunder Road last week (Oct. 3).

Hoar is the current ACT Late Model Tour point leader
Brian Hoar won the Circuit Riverside Speedway Can-Am combination Série ACT Castrol Edge and ACT Late Model Tour event on Saturday, August 14. Hoar, the current ACT Late Model Tour point leader, fought his way by current Série ACT Castrol Edge point leader Karl Allard on lap 94 and led the remainder of the event. The scheduled 200 lap event had to be cut back to 171 due to a curfew.

Furniture World of VT Spring Green 100
Brian Hoar of Williston, VT led all 100 laps of the 36th Furniture World of VT Spring Green 100 at Airborne Speedway Saturday, but his second straight ACT LateModel Tour win was no romp. The defending champion and current point leader was closely pursued by Brent Dragon for the first half of the race and Brad Leighton of Center Harbor, NH over the final 50 laps.

In White Mountain 150
Williston’s Brian Hoar earned his first ACT Late Model Tourwin of the season and his 26th career ACT victory. Hoar took the lead on the final restart with 16 laps remaining from Hyde Park’s Eric Williams. Williams would hold on for second followed by Newport, NH’s Mark Hayward.

A total of 50 cars attempted to qualify with 33 making the starting grid
Rowley MA’s Eddie MacDonald took the checkers in the second ACT Late Model Tour event at Oxford Plains Speedway on Saturday, June 19. MacDonald led the last 43 laps of the 150 lap event after taking the lead from current ACT Late Model Tour point leader Brian Hoar.
Joey “Pole” Polewarczyk, Jr. earned his second big American-Canadian Tour win in a month at the 48th Annual People’s United Bank Milk Bowl at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, VT. 
Brian Hoar claimed the Booth Bros./H.P. Hood pole position for the 48th Annual People’s United Bank Milk Bowl at Thunder Road in Barre on Sunday, October 3. The two-time (1998 and 1999) Milk Bowl Champion set a fast time of 13.001 on the day.
