The Brabham family can confirm the continued protection of the registered Brabham trademark, following David Brabham’s successful and determined pursuit of legal action through the German Higher Courts.

Charlie Whiting, the highest ranking FIA official at grands prix, is sure formula one will not miss the sound of F1′s current V8 engines.
For the past couple of decades, fans have been spoiled by the ear-splitting tones of normally aspirated V12, 10 and now 8-cylinder power plants. But from 2014, the sport will sound more placid, as turbocharged and comparatively low-revving 1.6 litre V6 engines power the cars around the tracks.

Hopeful Spanish outfit Epsilon Euskadi has begun wind tunnel testing a scale model of its 2011 formula one car. The Azkoitia based team, involved in single seater categories as well as Le Mans with a prototype car, has applied to fill the 13th F1 team entry for next year.

British former 24 Hours of Le Mans race winner to drive Audi GT3 sports car
Britain’s Mark Blundell will drive an Audi R8 LMS sports car for United Autosports in the Spa 24 Hours in Belgium this summer (Jul 31-Aug 1). The 44-year-old Royston-based Londoner who won the 1992 24 Hours of Le Mans but stepped away from active motorsport after finishing second in the French marathon seven years ago, makes a one-off return to the cockpit for the high-profile American-owned, British operated “customer” Audi team.

A high ranking FIA official reportedly knew about the ‘crash-gate’ allegations as long ago as the 2008 season finale in Brazil last year. Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper on Friday published a transcript of Nelson Piquet Snr’s August 17 interview with Quest investigators, commissioned by F1′s governing body, about the scandal.

David Brabham captured the overall pole position for the Detroit Sports Car Challenge presented by Bosch, only hours after Acura announced that Patrón Highcroft would be one of its two LMP1 entries for the 2009 American Le Mans Series season.
Lola Group has announced the appointment of Stephen Charsley as Lola Cars International Vice-President of North America. 
Headed by former Jordan boss Trevor Carlin, the outfit is the most successful in the history of British F3, and also races in GP3 and the Renault World Series. 
After inheriting top spot six hours previously, the N°9 car (Gené/Wurz/Brabham) leads, more than two minutes clear of the N°1 Audi.
