“This is the track that I worked with Todd Malloy for the first time – we were on the pole and finished the race in fourth. It’s been a pleasure to get back with Honda for the last two races. We had a great car in Indy and qualified third in Detroit. It was a good boost of motivation for the Team Barracuda – BHA crew. We had a lot of fun and we were competitive. The engine is fantastic, it makes us powerful and we’re able to compete up front, so I’m confident that we can continue on that trend.”

Intense engine testing continues as the IZOD IndyCar Series prepares for an incredible new season.
Team Barracuda – BHA driver Alex Tagliani took to the road course of Homestead Miami-Speedway on Monday and Tuesday for the second in a series of engine tests for the brand new, Lotus-powered Dallara DW12.

Last year’s Indianapolis 500 winning team sought out the Canadian driver because of his experience, technical ability and overall proficiency in the racecar. In 2011, the veteran driver earned back-to-back pole positions, first during the 95th running of the historic Indy 500 and then at Texas Motor Speedway, adding to the list of his many accomplishments as an open-wheel racer.

In Firestone Indy Lights Series Edmonton 100
Bryan Herta Autosport remains north of the border this week for Round Eight of Firestone Indy Lights competition as the series moves to the second of two stops in Canada following last weekend’s race in Toronto. The Edmonton City Centre Airport will host Sunday’s 50-lap race on a 1.96-mile, 14-turn course – a physically-demanding layout which is both fast and bumpy.

Wilson turned his first laps with the BHA squad last week
Bryan Herta Autosport owners Bryan Herta and Steve Newey today announced they have signed British driving talent Stefan Wilson to contest the 2010 Firestone Indy Lights Championship. Wilson, winner of the prestigious McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver Award, will embark on his first full year in the development series following six starts in 2009.
Sebastian Saavedra, the 19 years old from Bogota, Colombia… currently resides in Indianapolis, Indiana… will be attempting to make his IZOD IndyCar Series debut… currently competes in the Firestone Indy Lights Series with BHA.
