At the 6 Hours of Donington
A combination of excellent strategy, pace and reliability helped contribute to OAK Racing claiming their first European Le Mans Series victory of the season at the 6 Hours of Donington. The French team’s #35 Onroak Automotive designed and built Morgan-Nissan 2012 LMP2 of Olivier Pla, Bertrand Baguette and Dimitri Enjalbert ran faultlessly throughout a race that also saw the #24 Judd-powered sister car come home sixth.

Audi returned to victory at Sebring International Raceway for the first time since 2009 on Saturday with a convincing victory in the 60th Anniversary Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida. Dindo Capello, Tom Kristensen and Allan McNish completed 301 laps in their Audi R18 to win by four laps in the opening round of the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón and the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Bertrand Baguette’s and Sebastien Saavedra’s respective 15th and 16th place
Conquest Racing closed out its season in the 2010 IZOD IndyCar Series with a good showing from its pair of rookie drivers who also soaked in some valuable experience. However, Bertrand Baguette’s and Sebastien Saavedra’s respective 15th and 16th place finishes don’t reflect the true performance of both rookies in the Cafes do Brasil Indy 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Brazilian Helio Castroneves won the race, Tagliani 15th
Against all odds, Brazilian Helio Castroneves won the race crossing the finish line more than 13 seconds ahead of polesitter Ed Carpenter. Team Penske’s race strategy worked its magic during his fuel economy run near the end of the event as all his opponents had to pit for a splash of fuel in the closing moments of the 200-lap affair. Dan Wheldon finished third ahead of Tony Kanaan and Dario Franchitti. Marco Andretti came in sixth, followed by Scott Dixon and Will Power.

Francesco Dracone joins team at Mid-Ohio
Conquest Racing has signed Italian racecar driver Francesco Dracone to pilot its #34 Dallara for the next two rounds of the IZOD IndyCar Series schedule. Dracone will be making his Series debut this weekend at the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio presented by Westfield Insurance, the same track where he passed his IndyCar Series rookie test last week.

Following a race contact, Alex Tagliani ends up 17th in Toronto
Justin Wilson had it all in his corner with 20 laps left in the Honda Indy Toronto: Firestone alternate tires on the No. 22 Z-Line Designs car, plenty of ethanol in the tank and a 3.1-second lead over Team Penske’s Will Power.

Romancini: Best first-year driver in the field thanks to a 13th place finish

Romancini remains atop the rookie of the year points
Conquest Racing drivers Mario Romancini and Bertrand Baguette both got their initial IZOD IndyCar Series exposure to the historic Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach over the weekend and head back to the shop in Indianapolis to prepare for Kansas Speedway rookie testing.
Black Swan Racing’s Jeroen Bleekemolen is heading to one of motorsport’s biggest stages with an entry into this year’s Race of Champions in Dusseldorf, Germany. 
Bertrand Baguette has revealed he is no longer on the market for a formula one seat. As the new Renault World Series champion, the 24-year-old Belgian tested with the Renault team and also Sauber late last year.
