As announced at this weekend’s North American International Motorcycle Supershow Canadian road racer Ben Young is excited to announce a new partnership with UK-based KICK Energy Drink for the 2013 AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike season. KICK Energy Drink is owned by Global Brands Limited in the United Kingdom and distributed in the US by Streamwood, IL’s Dolce Beverage Company LLC.

His first ever visit to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
BYR/FOGI Racing’s Ben Young battled through limited track time due to unusual weather conditions during qualifying at this past weekend’s AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Young’s determination and adaptability to a new track earned him a 15th place finish – his best finish of the season.

After missing the third round of the 2012 AMA Pro Road Racing season at Infineon Raceway, BYR/FOGI Racing’s Ben Young is eager to get back in the mix this weekend as AMA Pro Road Racing returns to Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele Valley, Utah for the BigM Weekend on May 26-28.

BYR/Fogi Racing’s Ben Young put in an impressive effort at the second round of the AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike Championship despite a momentary off-track excursion in the first race of the weekend at Road Atlanta and a technical oversight in the second race on Sunday.

This past weekend Thornbury Ontario’s Ben Young debuted in his first ever Daytona AMA Pro GoPro Daytona Sportbike race during the 71st running of the Daytona 200. Young finished the race with a respectable 20th overall after overcoming engine troubles on Thursday and an electronic glitch that occurred during the first pit stop of the race.

The Daytona 200, known as “THE WORLD’S GREATEST MOTORCYCLE RACE”, being held at the legendary Daytona International Speedway – March 17th 2012, kicks off the AMA Pro Road Racing season with a 200-mile battle on Daytona’s 3.51-mile road course with top motorcycle racers from the US and around the world.

Indiana-based Four Feathers Racing’s team principal Scotty Van Hawk has signed on to mentor and provide race strategy support to BYR / Fogi Racing’s development rider Ben Young for his debut at America’s most historic motorcycle event, the Daytona 200. Young, aboard his Tim Hortons-Sudbury/Yamaha R6 will take to the legendary Daytona International Speedway on March 15-17th 2012.
