Ferrari was a Le Mans winner at the weekend, but so too was Williams.
In the top GT category of the fabled 24 hour race, former grand prix winner Giancarlo Fisichella was one of the drivers of the winning Ferrari 458 Italia. But British F1 team Williams has also pointed out that it was a part of Audi’s overall victory in the top prototype class, LMP1.

As the first hybrid vehicle to win Le Mans
The Audi R18 e-tron quattro, supported by Williams Hybrid Power’s (WHP) innovative electric flywheel technology, has won the 80th running of the 24 hours of Le Mans and in the process made history as the first hybrid powered vehicle to finish on the podium.

Audi returned to victory at Sebring International Raceway for the first time since 2009 on Saturday with a convincing victory in the 60th Anniversary Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida. Dindo Capello, Tom Kristensen and Allan McNish completed 301 laps in their Audi R18 to win by four laps in the opening round of the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón and the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Kristensen sets pace during hectic Sebring Night Practice – BMW’s Hand leads close GT battle on Thursday night
Tom Kristensen’s Audi R18 was the only one of the three diesel-powered factory prototypes to emerge unscathed from a hectic nighttime practice session Thursday at Sebring International Raceway. The Dane made his fortunes count with the fastest time on the evening – a 1:47.049 in the Audi R18 that he will share with Allan McNish and Dindo Capello in Saturday’s 60th Anniversary Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida.

Lotus LMP2 First Day at the 12 Hours of Sebring
Andre Lotterer kept Audi out front in practice for the 60th Anniversary Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida on Thursday afternoon. The reigning Le Mans 24 Hours winner set a lap of 1:47.761 in the Audi R18 he shares with Benoit Treluyer and Marcel Fassler for a 0.478-second gap back to Timo Bernhard in the second of the three Audis.

62 cars set times in busy one-hour session
Romain Dumas got Audi Sport Team Joest started on the right foot in official practice for the 60tth Anniversary Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida. The Frenchman set the fastest time in Thursday’s one-hour session with a lap of 1:48.626 in his Audi R18.

Official practice sessions start Saturday for 2012 opener
Audi Sport Team Joest ended Tuesday at Sebring International Raceway the same way it closed Monday – with the top three times in testing for America’s greatest sports car race. The Audi R18 of Dindo Capello, Tom Kristensen and Allan McNish set the best time of the day at 1:48.138 (124.508 mph) as all of the German factory prototypes were under the 1:49 mark in the final test for the 60th Anniversary Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida.

Audi Sport Team Joest’s Allan McNish set the best time of Monday’s opening test for the 60th Anniversary Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. The three-time winner of America’s greatest sports car race set a time of 1:47.187 (125.612 mph) in the Audi R18 he will share with Dindo Capello and Tom Kristensen.
