Queensland Sport Minister, Phil Reeves joined with V8 Supercars Chairman, Tony Cochrane and a number of drivers at the Armor All Gold Coast 600 today to unveil a trophy dedicated to the memory of fallen IndyCar star, Dan Wheldon.











The number of former IndyCar or Champ Car Champions at this year’s Armor All Gold Coast 600 has increased to four with Brad Jones Racing confirming Tony Kanaan as part of their squad for this year’s October 21-23 event.
100th anniversary Indianapolis 500 polesitter Alex Tagliani will race for Kelly Racing at the Armor All Gold Coast 600 this October. 


Due to ongoing speculation surrounding the Saturday evening performance of The Beach Boys, the management team of the Armor All Gold Coast 600, which includes the 600 Sounds presented by Hard Rock musical festival, would like to unequivocally state that the performance by the Beach Boys on Saturday evening was a live performance. 
Rock Racing driver Alex Tagliani was not pleased with V8 veteran Russell Ingall after the pair clashed in the final race of the Armor All Gold Coast 600 at the Surfers Paradise street circuit in Queensland today. The IndyCar Series pilot started from 22nd position in the #11 Rock Commodore he shared with Jason Bargwanna and the driver known as ‘Tags’ drove up to fifth place in an impressive first stint of the race.
Day two of the Armor All Gold Coast 600 has delivered all of the breath-taking action anticipated to a crowd of 60,116 fans on the streets of the Gold Coast. The battles started from the very start of the race, with frenetic racing from start to finish ensuring the crowd was kept entertained from start to finish across the 300 kilometer, 120 lap stanza. 
IndyCar star Alex Tagliani has performed well during practice for the Armor All Gold Coast 600 at the Surfers Paradise street circuit in Queensland today. Tagliani, who has previously finished on the podium in Champ Car competition on the Gold Coast, was pleased with his progress aboard the #11 Rock Racing Commodore during today’s four practice sessions.
