Team battles huge field in debut Race with new Ferrari 458 Italia GT Grand-Am
AIM Autosport Team FXDD took eighth place yesterday in the GT class of the Fiftieth Anniversary Rolex 24 at Daytona as its FXDD Ferrari 458 Italia GT Grand-Am performed flawlessly for 24 consecutive hours at Daytona International Speedway. The team faced stiff competition in its debut race with its new Ferrari, battling 47 other cars in the GT class with top drivers representing GT championships around the world.

2011 looks set to be the Atlanta-based team’s most promising campaign yet
American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron GT class contenders Robertson Racing will return to competitive action for the first time in over five months this weekend (March 19) at the world famous Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida.

Just around the corner, Road Atlanta is home to the Petit Le Mans
After spending the entire season criss-crossing the continent, Robertson Racing won’t have far to travel for the final round of the 2010 American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron. That’s because the team’s Braselton headquarters is just around the corner from Road Atlanta, home to the Petit Le Mans powered by Mazda 2 season finale (29 September – 2 October).

By leading every session during USF2000′s two-day test at O’Reilly Raceway Park
After Andretti Autosport’s Sage Karam dominated every session at the USF2000 National Championship’s season-opening doubleheader at the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, Patrick McKenna said he and his team, Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing, had some work to do if they wanted to stop Karam from doing the same thing on May 29 at the Night Before the 500 at O’Reilly Raceway Park here.

Atlantic Championship News & Notes
After a history-making 2009 Atlantic Championship season in which she became the winningest woman in series history, Simona De Silvestro had a successful two-day test in an HVM Racing/Team Stargate Worlds IndyCar at Sebring International Raceway last week with an eye toward a possible run in the 2010 IZOD IndyCar Series. “She was very impressive,” said HVM Racing owner Keith Wiggins.
Eleven drivers who will race this weekend in Petit Le Mans powered by the Totally New MAZDA6 competed in the 1998 inaugural running of the 1,000-mile/10-hour sports car classic at Road Atlanta.
