Corvette wins for first time in 12 Hours since 2009
Audi Sport extended its remarkable run at Sebring International Raceway on Saturday. Marcel Fassler, Benoit Treluyer and Oliver Jarvis won the 61st Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida in their No. 1 Audi R18 e-tron quattro – the first hybrid car to win at Sebring and in the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón.

United SportsCar Racing Confirms Strategic Alliance with ACO and Le Mans
While the rest of the competition has struggled to keep up with the pace of the Audi Sport R18 e-tron quattros this weekend, a penalty to race leader Allan McNish set one of the top two cars in the P1 class back at Sebring International Raceway. McNish made contact with Mirco Schultis in the No. 81 DragonSpeed Mishumotors close to the Hour 3 mark and was black flagged for incidental contact.

Conditions looking better for afternoon’s one-hour test
Marino Franchitti set the best time in a soggy one-hour test session for the 61st Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida on Tuesday. The Scottish star set a best lap of 2:15.391 (99.445 mph) in Level 5 Motorsports’ No. 055 Honda Performance Development ARX-03b prototype as only three cars posted times.

Teams put prototypes through paces in preparation for 12 Hours
The P2 class for the 2013 American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón is taking shape. Both Extreme Speed Motorsports and Level 5 Motorsports put their HPD ARX-03b machines through paces in a private test session at Sebring International Raceway last week in preparation for the 61st Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida on March 16.

BMW along 4 ‘Z’ Ride
The car publicly premiered last week at Daytona International Speedway, making it the first ALMS GT car to lap Daytona’s high banks in advance of the 2014 combined championship of the ALMS and the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series. Tucker/Mucke/Senna to drive new Vantage GTE at ALMS opener
Aston Martin Racing will make the 61st Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida part of its 2013 GT racing program, the team has announced. Darren Turner and Stefan Mucke will team with AMR newcomer Bruno Senna in a 2013-spec Aston Martin Vantage GTE for the opening round of the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón.

Risi, Dempsey back for full season; Audi debuting R18 hybrid in U.S.
The first race of the 2013 American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón will mark the return of two legendary teams to racing in America and a Hollywood star’s debut at one of sports car racing’s toughest tests. Risi Competizione is back to full-time competition in the ALMS’ GT class, Audi will race its R18 e-quattro hybrid prototype for the first time in North America, and Patrick Dempsey and Dempsey Racing embark in a new full-season partnership.
