This will be Julián Leal’s first race outing for Racing Engineering
The GP2 teams will be assembling in Malaysia at the Sepang International Circuit this weekend for the first two races in the 2013 GP2 Series.

Racing Engineering is pleased to announce that their drivers for the 2013 GP2 Series will be Fabio Leimer and Julián Leal.

The 23 year-old Swiss Fabio Leimer has come up through Formula BMW, Formula Renault and International Formula Master racing and he already has plenty of GP2 experience having made his debut in the 2009–10 GP2 Asia Series.

Racing Engineering is pleased to announce that Nathanaël Berthon will be joining them to compete in the 2012 GP2 Series alongside Fabio Leimer. 22 year old Berthon began his racing career in karts before moving to single-seaters in 2008 when he competed in the Formula Renault 2.0 Series. In 2009 the young Frenchman graduated to the Formula Renault 3.5 Series taking his first win in the category at Magny Cours.

Racing Engineering ace quickest on final day

The last 2011 post-season test day took place today at Circuit de Catalunya. The paddock welcomed two new faces for the occasion, namely Pole Kuba Giermaziak at iSport and Spaniard Albert Costa at Super Nova Racing. GP2 race winner Giacomo Ricci returned to the field at Super Nova, GP3 2011 runner-up James Calado rejoined Lotus ART, and Sam Bird tested again with Trident Racing.

Fat Burner Racing Engineering Paul Ricard test report – day 1
First test day of the week for Fat Burner Racing Engineering at the Paul Ricard Circuit where Swiss driver Fabio Leimer and German Christian Vietoris were at the wheel of the Spanish team’s cars. Both drivers set very good times and ran at a competitive pace throughout the day, though Vietoris suffered a little glitch on his car’s engine during the afternoon session.
