Twelve “Québec Stars” will meet with race fans on the NAPA Auto Parts 200 Presented by Dodge “Discovery Day”. Today the promoters of the NAPA Auto Parts 200 presented by Dodge released the list of 12 drivers that will take part in the annual “Québec Stars” autograph session on “Discovery Day” at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

With SRA Karting
The first round of the Florida Winter Tour was presented last weekend in Orlando Florida. With only a few tests on the new Birel equipment, SRA Karting showed lots of speed trough out the weekend and came back to Québec with two podiums, a victory for Alexandre Tagliani on Saturday and a second place on Sunday.

Alex Tagliani finishes 17th at Watkins Glen
Making his first race start from 19th position on the grid at the famed Watkins Glen International road course, FAZZT Race Team driver Alex Tagliani could not do much to improve his position during the race. Fuel strategy was the key in today’s race. The team brought Alex in for his first stop on lap 5 in the hopes that an alternate strategy would play in their favor.

Top-10 Finish for Tagliani at the Indy 500
In a race that was played in the pit lane and where many on track incidents changed the course of the race, FAZZT Race Team driver Alex Tagliani stayed out of trouble to finish 10th in the Indy 500 race held Sunday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Starting from fifth on the grid, the Canadian driver ran in the top four in the first segment of the race.

Nathalie Richard, is the first woman to ever receive this prestigious award.
Performance rally driving champion Antoine L’Estage, and his co-driver Nathalie Richard, both of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu (QC), were honoured this past weekend by the Fédération de Sport Automobile du Québec (FSAQ) as winners of the Bertrand-Fabi Trophy.

Major accident ends the NASCAR Canadian Tire NAPA 100
Everybody was looking forward to the presentation of the NASCAR Canadian Tire NAPA 100 hoping for another victory for Andrew Ranger, winner of the last three races on road course in Mosport, Edmonton and Trois-Rivières.

For the NASCAR Canadian Tire NAPA 100
Rain took a short brake today , just enough to allow the dry presentation of two short qualifying sessions of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Championship. As it was the case in Trois-Rivières two weeks ago, Alexandre Tagliani earned his second consecutive pole position ahead of Kerry Micks and Andrew Ranger.

A successful ”Open House Day” at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve
There was an excellent response to the invitation made by Francois Dumontier and Stock Car Montreal to visit the site where the NAPA 200 Nationwide race will take place Sunday. Admission was free for all racing fans today.

When the transfer of the 2010 ASN National Championships was announced, it was also announced that this was good news for the competitors and that details would be published later. 
This weekend, Friday January 22 and Saturday January 23rd, the 2010 edition of the Pole Position 4 Hours Enduro will take place. 
The FAZZT Race Team is continuing to take shape with the addition of key personnel. Chief Operating Officer Jim Freudenberg and Team General Manager Rob Edwards have completed the hiring in several key positions in preparation for the 2010 IndyCar series season. 
Everybody can change their mind and that is exactly what did Alexandre Tagliani who was to race in the NASCAR Nationwide next weekend at Texas Motor Speedway with team Randy McDonald and financial support of Dodge dealers from the province of Quebec. 
Unfortunately for the crowd and drivers, due to a wet track caused by earlier rain and time required to dry up the track, we have not seen a lot of the Nationwide cars in this second day of preparation for the NAPA 200. 
This morning in the front page of the Journal de Montreal we can read : ”Exclusive” : A Quebecers team in Indy Car. WOW! What an exclusivity, specially that the news was published two weeks ago in Flagworld, and other web sites.
