Villeneuve in Nationwide, no ride for Ranger

We learned from an ”exclusive” article in ruefrontenac.com from our friend Dominic Fugère that Patrick Carpentier will race in Watkins Glen this weekend if he can qualify the number 26 Latitude 43 Racing Ford in Sunday’s Sprint Cup race.






A few weeks ago, two times NASCAR Canadian Tire series champion Andrew Ranger was worried about his future. His seven year partnership with his sponsors came to an end this year and left him without a ride for the 2010 season.
Joey Logano got his second NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown trophy and Sergio Pena nearly made a historic debut on the national stage.

The tradition continues as the staff at Flagworld takes a short break to celebrate the arrival of the new year with friends and family. 

About fifteen drivers including Andrew Ranger and Alexandre Tagliani who will have double duty this coming weekend at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve to participate in the two main NASCAR events, the NAPA 100 in the NASCAR Canadian Tire and NAPA 200 in the Nationwide Series.
The actual leader in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series and winner of the last two edition of the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières is back in Quebec after participating in two days of private practice in Kershaw, South Carolina.
There will be plenty of action at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on Ile Notre-Dame with the presentation of a Nationwide race, the NAPA 200 where 5 Quebecers will compete plus a NASCAR Canadian Tire race with a preliminary list of 34 registered drivers and cars for the NAPA 100. 

Two of the three Quebecois drivers officially scheduled to race in the Nationwide NAPA 200 at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in Montreal next week, Jacques Villeneuve and Alexandre Tagliani, today completed their private practice session in Kershaw, South Carolina.
Once again we revisited the Autodrome for an evening of ”Street Drags” hosted by Jason Labrosse, son of owner/promoter Alan Labrosse. Even with the unstable weather, a good number of enthousiasts showed up around 7pm.
It is with great pleasure that the president of the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières, Mr.Joël St-Pierre and the general manager Francois Bordeleau, along with Alan Labrosse, confirmed that Jacques Villeneuve will participate in the 40th edition of the Grand-Prix, on August 14,15,16. 
Alan Labrosse, owner of Autodrome St-Eustache and promoter of the Tide 250, is pleased to announce that racecar superstar Jacques Villeneuve has agreed to team-up with Andrew Ranger and Jonathan Bouvrette for the Tide 250, Round 4 of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series to be held Saturday July 11 in Saint-Eustache.
