2013 McLaren driver Sergio Perez is being managed by former Indycar driver and fellow Mexican Adrian Fernandez.
McLaren, who have signed current Sauber driver Perez to replace Lewis Hamilton, confirmed the 22-year-old’s professional link to Fernandez, 47. Fernandez – an owner of racing teams as well – has also been backed through his career by Perez’s sponsor Telmex, but Fernandez denied Perez is still a “pay driver”.

But status of Porsche following heavy accident is unclear
Two weeks following its first overall victory in the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón, Muscle Milk Team CytoSport and Klaus Graf set the fastest lap time in testing Thursday for the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Challenge. His lap of 1:12.841 (111.596 mph) led a very close LMP field around Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
Finishing sixth overall
Harold Primat notched up his best ever Le Mans 24 Hours result at La Sarthe on Sunday afternoon, finishing sixth overall after a problem prevented the Aston Martin Racing factory driver from claiming a potential fourth place. Primat’s crew, completed by co-drivers Adrian Fernandez and Stefan Mucke, had consistently proved the fastest petrol-powered trio on track throughout the week-long event and underlined their pace by qualifying eighth overall just behind the seven diesel entries.

But Prodrive does have Series street circuit experience from seasons back
Needless to say, designers at Aston Martin and Lola didn’t quite have the historic Long Beach street circuit in mind when they built Aston Martin Racing’s sleek closed-top Lola-Aston Martin prototype. Distance-wise, two laps at Long Beach is a little more than one pass down the famed Mulsanne Straight.
Defending P2 race-winner quickest among combined LMP runners
The confines of the historic Long Beach circuit proved friendly again for Adrian Fernandez. The Mexican star and veteran of 16 open-wheel and sports car races turned the fastest time in Friday morning’s opening practice for the Tequila Patrón American Le Mans Series at Long Beach.
