After NHMS Test and Tune
The American Canadian Tour completed their annual Test and Tune session at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Wednesday, August 29. A total of 27 teams took advantage of the test session in preparation for the fourth annual Bond Auto ACT Invitational scheduled for Saturday, September 22. Teams completed over six hours of practice including two simulation heat races with no issues or wrecks.

The ACT Late Model Tour held its first ever event on April 26, 1992 when they joined the headlining ACT Pro Stock Tour at Sanair Super Speedway.
For the first time in six years and just the second time in over a decade, the ACT Late Model Tour will return to where it all began, Sanair Super Speedway in St-Pie, Quebec, during the 2012 season. On Saturday, August 11, the ACT Late Model Tour and the Série ACT Castrol will visit the 1.3-kilometer speedway for a 100 lap combination event.

“This has been a great program for our race team” - Bruce Bernhardt
For the second straight year, Wayne Helliwell, Jr. of Dover, NH and car owner Bruce Bernhardt won the Ford Blue Oval Cup Challenge and the $5,000 top prize. The E-Keys 4 Cars team competed in a total of 21 eligible events, which was the most of any of the fifteen Challenge teams.

33rd annual Bond Auto Labor Day Classic at Thunder Road International Speedbowl
Barre’s own Nick Sweet led the final 15 laps after getting around Joey Polewarczyk, Jr., to win the 33rd annual Bond Auto Labor Day Classic at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, VT on Sunday, September 4. The 2010 “King of the Road” piloted his St. J Auto Ford Fusion to the win after taking two right side tires late in the event and slicing through the field. It was Sweet’s second ACT Late Model Tour win of the season, both coming at Thunder Road, and his first career Labor Day Classic win.

ACT Late Model Tour 150 unofficial results
Jeff Taylor of Farmington, Maine scored his second career ACT Late Model Tour win at Oxford Plains Speedway on Saturday, August 20. Taylor was running second behind Jeff White, who won the last ACT event at OPS, when White ran out of gas with eight laps remaining.

ACT Tours Top $1 Million
The 25 year-old American Canadian Tour announces over $1 million in purses and prize funds for its touring events in 2011. ACT releases 2011 schedules for its two Late Model touring series; the American-based ACT Late Model Tour and the Canadian-based Série ACT Castrol Edge. Schedules consist of 12 events for both tours including three combination events plus several non-point counting special events.

At Thunder Road International Speedbowl
St-Denis, Quebec’s Patrick Laperle held off a late charging Phil Scott to claim the ACT Late Model Tour win in the 32nd running of the Bond Auto Labor Day Classic at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, VT on Sunday, September 5. Laperle led the final 14 laps of the 200 lap event after getting around Dave Pembroke.

Hoar is the current ACT Late Model Tour point leader
Brian Hoar won the Circuit Riverside Speedway Can-Am combination Série ACT Castrol Edge and ACT Late Model Tour event on Saturday, August 14. Hoar, the current ACT Late Model Tour point leader, fought his way by current Série ACT Castrol Edge point leader Karl Allard on lap 94 and led the remainder of the event. The scheduled 200 lap event had to be cut back to 171 due to a curfew.

Hayward is now the ninth ACT competitor to earn himself an invite to the second annual ACT Invitational
Newport, NH’s Mark Hayward earned his first career ACT Late Model Tour win at Twin State Speedway in Claremont, NH on Friday, July 30. Hayward took the lead from Twin State regular Aaron Fellows, who led the first 52 laps of the 100 lap event. Hayward held off the likes of Ben Rowe, current ACT Tour point leader Brian Hoar and Randy Potter over the remaining 48 laps to take the win.

The top ten were the only cars to complete all 150 laps
NH’s Joey “Pole” Polewarczyk, Jr. earned Ford its first ACT Late Model Tour win at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, ME on Saturday, July 24. Pole moved from his fourth starting position to take the lead on lap 14. He held the lead and lapped the majority of the field until lap 83.

In White Mountain 150
Williston’s Brian Hoar earned his first ACT Late Model Tourwin of the season and his 26th career ACT victory. Hoar took the lead on the final restart with 16 laps remaining from Hyde Park’s Eric Williams. Williams would hold on for second followed by Newport, NH’s Mark Hayward.

A total of 50 cars attempted to qualify with 33 making the starting grid
Rowley MA’s Eddie MacDonald took the checkers in the second ACT Late Model Tour event at Oxford Plains Speedway on Saturday, June 19. MacDonald led the last 43 laps of the 150 lap event after taking the lead from current ACT Late Model Tour point leader Brian Hoar.
The ACT Late Model Tour and Série ACT Castrol combined Can-Am 200 at Circuit Riverside Speedway in Ste-Croix, QC scheduled for Saturday, August 27 has been postponed due to rain.
Laperle earned his second consecutive ACT Late Model Tour win
Windham, Maine’s Brad Babb currently sits atop the ACT Late Model Tour Rookie Standings and will look to stretch his lead with a solid finish this Saturday, July 24 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, the track where he cut his racing teeth.
