Peugeot seals ILMC title in China

In Intercontinental Le Mans Cup 1000km of Zhuhai

Team Peugeot Total produced a blend of panache and suspense to round off the 908 HDi FAP’s career with a resounding victory in Sunday’s 1000km of Zhuhai (southeast China). Peugeot Sport chooses Team Oreca Matmut

After taking time to consult the various teams which expressed an interest in running a Peugeot 908 HDi FAP in 2010

Peugeot Sport has finally decided to provide Team ORECA MATMUT with a car. The motor sport record of the Hugues de Chaunac-directed operation provides clear evidence of the team’s skill and professionalism, while the team has provided assurances of its ability to source the necessary funding to enter a 2010-specification 908 HDi FAP in the Le Mans 24 Hours and in the Le Mans Series. Sebastien Loeb in 24 Hours of Le Mans a possibility…

Last week saw Peugeot Sport organise a test session with the 908 HDi FAP at the new Motorland circuit in Aragon, Spain

The drivers present at this test were Sébastien Bourdais, Marc Gené, Franck Montagny, Alexander Wurz and Sébastien Loeb. Sébastien Loeb made an active contribution to the test which formed part of a programme leading up to a possible participation for the Frenchman in the 2010 Le Mans 24 Hours, given that there is no WRC round scheduled the same weekend.
