Villeneuve could clinch season championship today

Earning his fifth victory of the season Saturday in the Grand Prix Desjardins in Roberval, Quebec, veteran Jacques Villeneuve from St-Cuthbert on Ski-Doo is almost guaranteed his second consecutive SCM Eastern Pro Tour championship.

The victory was his second consecutive after a major crash ia the recent Grand-Prix Ski-Doo in Valcourt last month.

In the Pro-Champ final in Roberval , Villeneuve won ahead of Curtis Weatherdon on Polaris and American Nick Lagoy.
