The 2010 HANNspree FIM Superbike World Championship Utah USA Round
Scheduled for May 29-31

This year’s event will be unique in that the feature races for the Superbike World Championship and Supersport World Championship will be held on MONDAY, May 31 (Memorial Day).
The weekend will start with a media event and kickoff party in Salt Lake City on Friday, May 28. As in years past, the media event will take place on the steps of the Utah State Capitol at 4:30 pm, where Governor Gary Herbert (or his representative) will greet a selection of World Superbike and World Supersport riders (in leathers, with their race bikes) and comment on the significance of the event to the State of Utah.
Other speakers will include Greg Miller, CEO of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies (owner/operator of Miller Motorsports Park), a representative of Infront Motor Sports (owner/operator of the HANNspree FIM Superbike World Championship), and military representatives (since the event is being held on Memorial Day and positioned as a tribute to America’s armed forces).
From the State Capitol, the World Superbike and World Supersport riders will mount their race bikes and lead a motorcycle parade (in which the motorcycle-riding public is invited to participate) to The Gateway outdoor mall in downtown Salt Lake City.
We are closing down Rio Grande Street (which bisects The Gateway) to all but motorcycle traffic/parking.
The kickoff party will run from 5:30-9:00 pm and will include an autograph session with the riders, stunt bike demonstrations, various vendor displays/activities and live music, including two-time Superbike World Champion James Toseland’s band “Crash.â€
On-track action starts on Saturday, with practice sessions. There will be a concert at the track Saturday night featuring Styx, Foreigner and Kansas. Qualifying and Superpole sessions will run on Sunday, with the feature races on Monday.
Support races will be the second annual Larry H. Miller Superbike Challenge, with GTU and GTO classes organized by the Utah SportBike Association.
