Ford team-leader Mikko Hirvonen has been busy honing his smooth surface techniques recently on the Nürburgring in Germany, the Jarama race track in Spain and the mean streets of Dagenham in the UK.

Hirvonen returned home to Finland this week after a five day promotional tour of Europe having racked up hundreds of miles aboard a variety of Ford machinery, from its earliest car – a Model T – to one of its latest – a Focus RS – as well as a racing bicycle…
