Costa Brava Rally preview

More than one hundred participants expected

The penultimate event of the Spanish Rally Championship, the Costa Brava Rally, will have among its more than one hundred participants three Subaru Impreza Prodrives prepared by KRS.

In the Catalan round of the national series, counting also for the European FIA Historic Rally Championships, the Subaru Spain team car, driven by Mario Ceballos, will be joined by two more of the Japanese Group N cars, which will also receive technical assistance from KRS and they will be driven by two other Cantabrian drivers, Marcos Diego and Javier Polidura.

For the three it will be their debut on the doyen of Spanish rallies, which will take place over two days, with five special stages on Friday evening and another four on Saturday totalling slightly more than 150 timed kilometres.

The Subaru Rally Team Spain driver Mario Ceballos, expects to continue on the Costa Brava his positive progression in the rallies of the Championship of Spain. In his first complete season in the series Mario is fulfilling his aim in doing the maximum of kilometres and to acquire valuable experience for future campaigns.

Marcos Diego will carry out on the stages near Lloret de Mar his second participation at the wheel of the Impreza Prodrive prepared by KRS, his first being a very promising outing on the Rallye of Catalonia, counting for the World Championship, where he registered excellent times that make him look forward to his first rally of the national series with the new Subaru.

For Javier Polidura, who competed for the first time with the Subaru prepared by KRS on the Cobreces rally last week, the Costa Brava will mean his first rally of the Championship of Spain outside Cantabria, so he faces the event with great excitement and is ready to take the maximum from such an experience.
