This was a big weekend for racing at the Monza circuit, with no less than 31,000 spectators in attendance to see an interesting package featuring the Ferrari Challenge, the Superstars Series and GT Sprint races. The crowd enjoyed the busy programme that featured plenty of spectacular overtaking and closely contested races that were seen on television in over 60 countries.

Adrian Quaife-Hobbs won the Sunday Race of the Valencia Auto GP weekend after storming through the pack from P7 on the grid.

The championship leader built his success on a great start that allowed him to jump to third place already before the first corner, and on the early pit-stop strategy chosen by SuperNova, that meant he could make the most of his stunning pace on a traffic-free track: with a 36” gap from the lead when he emerged from the pit-lane on lap 5, Quaife-Hobbs started gaining more than one second per lap, and when everybody had made his mandatory tyre change he found himself in the lead by an amazing 7”, clinching an impressive win.

Brazilian talent Yann Cunha is one of the three newcomers of the Auto GP Valencia weekend.

Champion of the F3 South-American championship in 2010, the driver from Brazilia is facing his maiden race weekend on high-powered machinery but despite that he already boasted some very consistent performances. After qualifying just below the top ten, Yann in Race 1 was set for a good P8 finish when he slipped on the oil left on track by Guerin’s car, losing a lot of time and ending the race in P13.

Daly to carry iconic black and gold ‘Mario Andretti’ colors

American, Conor Daly will move back to England, April 4th as part of his final preparations for the 2012 GP3 Series. He will spend his 2012 season under the Lotus GP umbrella, in the black and gold colors made famous by Mario Andretti during his 1978 Wold Champion winning season.
