Like Ferrari, Red Bull is another team looking keenly ahead to this week’s test at Mugello.
“Not only do we have many new parts in the luggage,” promised team advisor Dr Helmut Marko, according to Auto Motor und Sport on Monday. “For the first time in a long time, we are also going to give much more attention to the car setup. There are still gaps in our understanding,” he said, a week after Sebastian Vettel’s breakthrough first win of 2012 in Bahrain.

Faces for charity 2012 – Be our Wing Man at this year’s British Grand Prix

Organised for Wings for Life, the charity that is striving to find a cure for spinal cord injury, the initiative is open to anyone around the world who wants to race with our drivers at this year’s Silverstone race and support this incredible cause.

Mark Webber might have signed a pre-contractual agreement with Ferrari, one of Spain’s leading F1 correspondents has revealed.
Raymond Blancafort, writing for El Mundo Deportivo, referred to widespread speculation in the paddock about Sergio Perez’s likely future alongside Fernando Alonso. “There may be a pre-contract,” he said, “but between Ferrari and Webber.”

Ferrari will not run all of its planned car improvements at the Mugello test this week.
“My information is that the new single seater is not ready,” reported Livio Oricchio, the correspondent for O Estado de S.Paulo newspaper. There has been speculation that, following Ferrari’s troubled start to the new championship with its F2012 car, the changes for the forthcoming Barcelona race will be so sweeping that it might be called a “B” version.

Rumours that a top English premier league football club is entering formula one as a sponsor have proved correct.
Ever since Sauber has been running teaser ‘Out of the blue’ and ‘True blue’ graphics on its engine cover livery in China and Bahrain, speculation about the identity of the forthcoming sponsor have been swirling in the F1 paddock.

Pirelli test driver Lucas di Grassi has defended the F1 tyre supplier following Michael Schumacher’s criticism.
Schumacher attacked the Italian marque’s 2012 product after the Bahrain grand prix, complaining that the tyres wear so fast that drivers often have to take corners at half-pace like the safety car.

Lucas di Grassi has admitted that even his continuing role at Pirelli is not a ticket back onto the F1 grid.
“I’m in the best possible position technically, as the driver with knowledge of the tyres – almost choosing them for next season – it puts me in a very comfortable position. “Of course I want to race again with a team and I’m working on it,” said the 2010 Virgin driver, who was replaced by the now Marussia team with Jerome d’Ambrosio at the end of his only season in F1.

Bahrain could launch a bid for the Olympic Games, off the back of its highly controversial return to the formula one calendar.
“Why not? Yes, we will,” an official for the island Kingdom’s ministry of works said. The Olympics will take place in London later this year, and in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro four years later.

Utah Grand Prix
Sean Johnston gave pole-sitter and hometown favorite Madison Snow a run for his money at the end of the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama series second race in the Utah Grand Prix, but he came up half a second short of stopping Snow from collecting his second victory of the weekend.

Patrick Laperle finishes 3rd
Eight-time and defending ACT Champion Brian Hoar, of Williston VT, rode a hot streak on his way to his second win in a row on the ACT Tour in the Merchants Bank 150 on Sunday, April 29 at Thunder Road. Hoar fought off former Lee USA Champion Wayne Helliwell Jr, of Dover NH, and two-time Serie ACT Castrol Champion Patrick Laperle of St. Denis, QC for his first ever Merchants Bank 150 win.
In the third race of the Formula 3 Euro Series at the 4.574 kilometres long Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg, that counts towards the newly-founded FIA Formula 3 European Championship, just like the first race, a Prema Powerteam driver claimed victory.
