Total of 35 cars set to dazzle America’s premier street festival
Fresh off a record-setting season opener at Sebring, a full grid from the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón heads west to America’s premier street racing festival. A total of 35 cars are set for the Tequila Patrón American Le Mans Series at Long Beach, tying 2010’s field as the largest of any kind at Long Beach in more than 15 years.

Italian TNA Court confirms the Modena-based racer’s title
Andrea Bertolini has officially been crowned as the 2011 INTERNATIONAL SUPERSTARS SERIES champion. His sub-judice title has been homologated by the Italian Tribunale Nazionale d’Appello (National Court of Appeal) after the appeal presented by Luigi Ferrara, CAAL Racing’s 2011 driver, following to the last round of the season at Vallelunga.

Joint team to run 2-car B-Spec effort; Andre Rapone coming back to CTCC.
Durabond Racing and Team Octane jointly announced today that they have come to an agreement to enter a pair of MINI Cooper race cars in the newly announced B-Spec Class. The team will run a two-car operation in the Canadian Touring Car Championship.

A Brazilian correspondent has leapt to the defense of Felipe Massa.
“Ferrari is making a huge mistake,” wrote Livio Oricchio in his O Estado de S.Paulo blog. Massa is currently the subject of widespread criticism and vociferous calls for his dismissal, after failing to get close to Fernando Alonso’s pace in the difficult new F2012 car.

Those who watched Sunday’s Malaysian grand prix witnessed “the blossoming of a future champion”.
That is the view of Patrick Tambay, a French F1 driver of the 80s who raced with Ferrari. Sergio Perez currently drives for Sauber, but he is the cream of Ferrari’s development programme and Tambay told RMC he thinks the Mexican is now definitely set for a future with the famous Italian team.
