GP2 GP3 Spa-Francorchamps review

Pirelli’s GP2 and GP3 medium compound tyres along with the P Zero wets enjoyed an action-packed Spa-Francorchamps round, equipping Formula One’s feeder series under extremely changeable conditions during the Belgian Grand Prix weekend.









Jan Kopecký has claimed his first victory in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge for more than a year after triumphing on a thrilling Barum Czech Rally Zlín. The ŠKODA Motorsport ace, roared on by approximately 300,000 home fans, beat Freddy Loix by 1.2s, the closest finish in the history of the IRC. Team-mate Juho Hänninen took third to make it a ŠKODA podium lockout.


Ramon Pineiro stormed to a third successive victory after winning today’s (Sunday) second FIA Formula Two race at the Red Bull Ring. The young Spaniard took the lead from pole-sitter Christopher Zanella at Turn 2 on the first lap, and in similar style to yesterday, went on to build a comfortable lead to take the chequered flag. Mirko Bortolotti further strengthened his championship charge with a second place while Romanian Mihai Marinescu claimed his second successive podium finish.





Luca Filippi snatched a second win in the 2011 season at the wheel of the Scuderia Coloni car in an action packed sprint race at Spa-Francorchamps. The Italian who drove flawlessly from P5 on the starting grid was joined by Jules Bianchi and Josef Kral on the podium.



The ACT Late Model Tour and Série ACT Castrol combined Can-Am 200 at Circuit Riverside Speedway in Ste-Croix, QC scheduled for Saturday, August 27 has been postponed due to rain.
