Super Nova miss Auto GP Oschersleben Round
This weekend

Super Nova will not be competing in the Auto GP round at Oschersleben this weekend, as a result of an accumulation of different factors. Unfortunately Jon Lancaster has suffered a minor ankle injury whilst training for a triathlon he is competing in later this year and the winner of Donington’s feature race has been told by doctors not to drive for two weeks.

Infront Motor Sports and Pirelli renew tyre supply contract for 2013-2015
Pirelli confirmed as official tyre supplier to FIM Superbike World Championship

Infront Motor Sports wishes to announce that Pirelli will continue to be the official tyre supplier for the FIM Superbike World Championship for a further three years following the end of the current contract, which as a result will now be extended from 2013 through to the end of 2015.

Sauber F1 Team confirms trio of drivers for 2012 (updated)
Sauber keeps same drivers for 2012

The Sauber F1 Team is very happy with its young team of drivers and has confirmed all three of them for the 2012 season: Kamui Kobayashi (24, Japan) and Sergio Pérez (21, Mexico) will be lining up for the Swiss team next year as well, while Esteban Gutièrrez (19, Mexico) remains on board as test and reserve driver.

Button eyes longer stay at McLaren
Despite earlier links with a potential team switch, Jenson Button has now indicated he wants to stay at McLaren for the long term

Team boss Martin Whitmarsh at the Nurburgring refused to say if the 31-year-old’s 2012 contract option would be taken up, but indicated that McLaren wants to hold onto Button as well as Lewis Hamilton.

CVC investors ‘worried’ about Ecclestone scandal
Investors in F1′s owner CVC Capital Partners are worried about the Gerhard Gribkowsky bribery scandal, the Financial Times has reported

The report said the investors are calling on the private equity group to clarify the affair, with F1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone accused of bribing Gribkowsky amid BayernLB’s sale of formula one to CVC some years ago.
