For many months now rumours were running around about a new vintage racing club ‘’made in Quebec’’. Well the rumour is confirmed! A non profit organization is born and ready to welcome pilots who had been waiting for the first Vintage road racing club in Québec; The CVQ; Course Vintage Quebec.

San Marino track to host final round on March 18, 19 and 20
Imola will host the final round of the 2011 GP2 Asia Series on March 18, 19 and 20. This will mark the return of the Series to the San Marino track since 2006 where Gianmaria Bruni and Ernesto Viso respectively triumphed for Trident Racing and Racing Engineering. This is also where the GP2 Series held its first ever race weekend on April 23-24 2005 with Heikki Kovalainen winning the feature race for Arden International and Adam Carroll snatching victory in the sprint race for Super Nova Racing.

SingTel announced the 2011-2012 extension on Tuesday.
SingTel has finally confirmed a new two-year agreement to remain the naming sponsor of the Singapore grand prix. We reported last October that the local telecommunications company had inked a new estimated $30 million contract to associate with the city-state’s popular night race.

F1 officials should have a ‘rain button’ to ensure excitement during a grand prix.
That was the suggestion of the sport’s famous chief executive Bernie Ecclestone during a typically controversial interview. “There are race tracks that you can make artificially wet and it would be easy to have such systems at a number of tracks,” the 80-year-old told F1′s official website.

Three leading F1 drivers have admitted their concerns about this year’s Pirelli tyres.
“The problem is that they degrade too quickly,” reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel said on Austrian television Servus TV. “By lap 16 or 17 they’re falling apart,” said the German, who said the problems could push drivers up to 10 “or maybe more” seconds per lap off the pace.

Fernando Alonso has fended off the latest press revelations about his stormy relationship with McLaren and Lewis Hamilton in 2007. In his newly-launched biography about Bernie Ecclestone, author Tom Bower said Spaniard Alonso had asked his then boss Ron Dennis in Hungary to sabotage the sister car driven by Hamilton so that it ran out of fuel.
