Homestead-Miami pre-race report
This is it, the finale event of the 2010, 17-race IZOD IndyCar Series schedule that will take place this weekend at the 2.414-kilometer Homestead-Miami Speedway oval. For FAZZT Race Team driver Alex Tagliani, this will be his second race at the South Florida oval track, but his first since 2000 when he qualified fourth and finished ninth as a rookie in the Champ Car Series.

Just around the corner, Road Atlanta is home to the Petit Le Mans
After spending the entire season criss-crossing the continent, Robertson Racing won’t have far to travel for the final round of the 2010 American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron. That’s because the team’s Braselton headquarters is just around the corner from Road Atlanta, home to the Petit Le Mans powered by Mazda 2 season finale (29 September – 2 October).

In 5th round of the 2010 Canadian Rally Championship
The 5th round of the Canadian Rally Championship will take place this coming weekend out of Merritt, British Columbia, a small vicinity north-east of Vancouver nested in the Rockies. Barely three weeks after the last event in Québec, the Mitsubishi teams entered have been working extra hours to prepare the cars for the event before setting out to cross the country for the second Western round on the calendar.

Auto GP is ready for a thrilling championship finale in Monza.
After five events and ten races the maths are keeping six drivers in contention for the title. With 19 points up for grabs in the Italian weekend, the list of possible winners goes from Romain Grosjean, Series leader with 42 points, to Carlos Iaconelli, in sixth place 18 points adrift.

“Not talented enough to become a comedian”
Kamui Kobayashi, who was only yesterday, Wednesday, in Tokyo to be appointed as an honorable international ambassador as “Sports Tourism Master” by the Japan Tourism Agency, which belongs to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, is looking forward to his home race, the Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka on October 10th.

“It was a good decision by the FIA”
Red Bull’s dominance has been curbed because it is no longer fielding an illegal car, according to Lewis Hamilton. The 2008 world champion said that after the team’s RB6 utterly dominated in Hungary in August, the tighter FIA flexibility tests have obviously affected the pace of the Adrian Newey-penned car.

“My hopes of having a good day disappeared” – Alguersuari
A mechanic has been dismissed by Toro Rosso following an incident before Sunday’s Singapore grand prix. Jaime Alguersuari qualified a strong eleventh under the street circuit’s lights, but then had to start the race from the pitlane due to a coolant leak.

The report said teams may no longer spend any more than EUR 20 million
Formula one teams have agreed a budget cap for operational spending in 2011 and beyond, according to an Italian media report. Earlier this week, we reported that team bosses discussed the so-called Resource Restriction Agreement in Singapore last weekend.

Organisers of the Rome grand prix insist the city will not have to pay.
Formula one will not cost Rome anything, the promoter of a potential street race in the Italian capital has insisted. Rome’s inaugural race is slated to be held in 2012 or 2013, pending the agreement of the residents of the EUR district, mayor Gianni Alemanno said earlier this month.

Stepney agreed a deal with the prosecutors and did not plead guilty.
An Italian court has sentenced F1 ‘spygate’ conspirator Nigel Stepney to a 20-month suspended jail term. Earlier in 2010 – three years after the sport’s espionage and sabotage scandal involving Ferrari and McLaren – sacked British engineer Stepney’s criminal trial began.

In F1600 MASTERS at the Fall Classic in Mont Tremblant
Saturday Race1: After qualifying on Pole in Masters, Jonathan Labbee made it up on the podium and took 3rd place behind Pat Sweeney and Gord Ross. In the beginning the battle was good but unfortunately the race finished under full course yellow robbing Labbee of the opportunity to gain positions.
Juncos Racing successfully landed all four of its cars in the top seven positions in this morning’s first official practice session at Road Atlanta, resulting in the best all-around practice session the team has had this season. 
The rumour emerged a few days ago based on a report in the Corriere della Sera newspaper, suggesting Fiat wants to raise money to increase its stake in Chrysler to 51 per cent. 
Rumours that the Faenza based formula one team Toro Rosso is for sale are gathering pace. Last week, we reported speculation that Red Bull mogul Dietrich Mateschitz wants to sell his second F1 outfit. 
NASCAR announced today that Derek White has earned the 2010 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 Rookie of the Year honors after finishing 14th in the overall final point standings.
