The great october 2nd event at the Olympic Stadium
The most popular fall sporting event in Quebec has a new name. As of now, the great fall extravaganza that will, on October 2, bring together close to 50,000 motocross fans at the Montreal Olympic Stadium will be known as the Supermotocross Monster Energy presented by Coors Light and Parts Canada/Thor.

Round Four : Rallye Défi
After a two-month break in the Canadian Rally Championship calendar, that was put to good use by Antoine L’Estage and Nathalie Richard as they became the 2010 Rally America Champions and won a bronze medal at the popular ESPN Summer X Games, the Rockstar Energy Drink Royal Group team will be back in competition this weekend for the Rallye Défi (September 10 & 11), round four of six in the Canadian championship.

Lombardi Honda Racing ready for the grand finale…
It’s this weekend at the ICAR racing track in Mirabel, that the final double-header of the Canadian Touring Championship season will be held. Leading the championship since June, Nick Wittmer plans to do everything possible to claim his second consecutive title at the wheel of his Lombardi Honda Racing Honda Civic Si. For the Montreal team, which also includes Benjamin Distaulo (looking for his first podium in the series), this outing is their opportunity to earn their second title in as many years competing in the series.

Webber does not hide the fact that Vettel is not his best friend.
Sebastian Vettel is learning from his mistakes, according to Red Bull team boss Christian Horner. The 23-year-old German’s title chances this year have been dented by a series of setbacks, including driver errors. The latest was his crash into Jenson Button two weeks ago at Spa-Francorchamps, triggering a wave of criticism about his readiness to be world champion.

Williams could be an alternative for other teams
Rival teams could be equipped with hydraulic systems and gearboxes supplied by Williams in 2011, a spokesman has confirmed. We reported this week that the famous British team has been earmarked as a potential alternative supplier of hydraulics systems for the sport’s three new teams.

Sponsor could help de la Rosa keep seat
Kamui Kobayashi will again line up for Peter Sauber’s team in the FIA Formula One World Championship in 2011. The Japanese driver, who will celebrate his 24th birthday on Monday 13th September, has collected 21 World Championship points so far this season and recorded a best race result of sixth at Silverstone. He has made it into the top ten qualifying on three occasions.

More details emerge about F1′s new shape for 2013
According to emerging rumours, the FIA has decided to leave the 13th team position vacant for the 2011 season. It is believed that Epsilon Euskadi, and the Villeneuve/Durango alliance, were the only two contenders to make their grand prix debuts next year.

Michael Schumacher has admitted that age may be a factor in his struggle to get back up to speed after returning to formula one this year. To date, having returned with Mercedes in 2010 following a three year retirement, the seven time world champion has explained his lack of results as due mainly to technical factors, including today’s Bridgestone tyres and the characteristics of the W01 car.

Mark Webber is not ruling out his chances of a good result this weekend, despite the fact Monza is not expected to particularly suit Red Bull’s RB6. After proving the most consistently competitive car of the season, Red Bull’s dominance waned slightly on the long straights of Spa-Francorchamps, where Australian Webber finished second and lost his championship lead to Lewis Hamilton.
