NAPA Autopro 100: A first pole for Andrew Ranger in NASCAR Canadian Tire in Montréal (+ starting grid)
Ranger to start from pole position
Dumoulin brothers are focused on the race
Even if he claims a victory in 2008 and two second place finishes in 2007 and 2009 in the last three edition of the NAPA 100 race at circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, the NASCAR Canadian Tire champion , Andrew Ranger had never claimed the pole position before today. Robert Wickens has not given up on title hopes: starting from pole position, he managed to keep the lead after having damaged his nose cone under torrential downpour and took the win after the clock counted down. Series leader Esteban Gutierez having finished fifth, the Canadian can still hope to chase the Mexican for the GP3 Series title.

Engine failure for Andrew Ranger
The free practice session to prepare the qualifying of the NAPA 200 presented by Dodge that will take place later this afternoon is now over. Two of the three Quebec drivers had excellent result, mainly Jacques Villeneuve who was never further than second place since the start of the day.

In preparation for the NASCAR Canadian Tire race
The first and single practice session for the NASCAR CAnadian Tire drivers for Sunday’s race , the NAPA 200 Autopro 100 is now completed at circuit Gilles-Villeneuve at Ile Notre-Dame in Montreal. Without surprise, it is the local favorite Andrew Ranger driving the Dodge sponsored by the Quebec Dodge dealers who posted the fastest time.

HRT return for Chandhok not imminent
He ruled out a switch to Force India.
It is believed Karun Chandhok will not return to the Hispania cockpit until at least the end of October. In Belgium this weekend, the Indian rookie is missing his third consecutive grand prix, with successor Sakon Yamamoto reportedly wielding more lucrative sponsors.






Pastor Maldonado has collected his sixth, and toughest, win of the season in today’s feature race at Spa Francorchamps, benefiting when polesitter Jerome d’Ambrosio stopped late in the race and then hanging on against a huge push in the closing laps to win by just 0.2 seconds from Alvaro Parente and Romain Grosjean.
