Villeneuve deserved a better fate in Road America

Edwards dominates at Road America for first 2010 win

Carl Edwards swooped past Carl Edwardson a restart with nine laps to go, then ran away from the field to win the NASCAR Nationwide series race at Road America on Saturday. Ranger captures win at Infineon (+result)

Two-time Canadian series champion pulls out win

Andrew Ranger ran out of gas on the final lap, but fortunately, the checkered flag was in sight. Ranger coasted across the finish line to capcture the Thunder Valley Casino Report 200 at Infineon Raceway Saturday. It is Ranger’s first NASCAR K&N Pro Series West victory in his first start. Jason Bowles wins pole for NASCAR K&N Pro Series race in Sonoma (+result)

Jason Bowles, a driver from Ontario, won the pole for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma on Friday. It was the 10th West Series pole of his career. The reigning West Series champion has won the previous two West Series races in Sonoma. Today, for the NASCAR Nationwide Bucyrus 200, the French-Canadian driver aims to add to his legacy — and maybe prove to sponsors that he’s ready for a full-time ride again. Villeneuve, 39, has raced at Road America twice; he is 2-for-2. IndyCar chassis announcement to be delayed?

IndyCar officials have admitted that the scheduled June 30 announcement regarding the 2012 IndyCar chassis is not a hard deadline. Already running at the limit, Memo Rojas was told he needed to go a little faster in Friday’s qualifying for the EMCO Gears Classic presented by KeyBank at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
