Red Bull to use ‘important’ F-duct in Valencia – Vettel

Red Bull is bidding to return to dominance on the streets of Valencia next weekend by using an F-duct system. With Red Bull earlier looking set to walk the 2010 title, McLaren crept onto the pace in Turkey and then leapt to the top of the championships with one-two victory in Canada last weekend.
Headed by former Jordan boss Trevor Carlin, the outfit is the most successful in the history of British F3, and also races in GP3 and the Renault World Series. Jun 18
Red Bull has led 67pc of laps in 2011
Red Bull’s Mark Webber has led more laps this season than any of his competitors.
In total, drivers on the 2010 grid have led 491 laps in total at the eight grand prix venues. Australian Webber has led 210 of them, a full 93 more than his highly rated teammate Sebastian Vettel. It means the Adrian Newey-penned RB6 has only failed to lead 33.4 per cent of all the racing laps so far.

Slow teams should not be allowed in F1 – Montezemolo
Luca di Montezemolo has continued his sustained attack on formula one’s new teams.
The Ferrari president thinks the grid should be filled by the bigger teams fielding three cars, rather than by opening the doors to newcomers including Lotus, Virgin and HRT. Next year, another small team is likely to make its debut.

Primat scores career-best Le Mans result
Finishing sixth overall
Harold Primat notched up his best ever Le Mans 24 Hours result at La Sarthe on Sunday afternoon, finishing sixth overall after a problem prevented the Aston Martin Racing factory driver from claiming a potential fourth place. Primat’s crew, completed by co-drivers Adrian Fernandez and Stefan Mucke, had consistently proved the fastest petrol-powered trio on track throughout the week-long event and underlined their pace by qualifying eighth overall just behind the seven diesel entries.
