Max now has a 15 point lead over Leon Haslam
A remarkable day of unpredictable final outcomes and drama on track finally delivered two 21-lap race victories to Max Biaggi and his Aprilia Alitalia team at Miller Motorsports Park. Max now has a 15 point lead over Leon Haslam (Alstare Suzuki) but he may not have won a single race today had Althea Ducati privateer Carlos Checa not had his machine quit twice on him while leading.

Montpelier’s Dave Pembroke earned his second straight Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic win at Barre, VT’s Thunder Road International Speedbowl on Sunday, May 30. Pembroke started the race from the 14th spot and worked his way through traffic to take the lead on lap 68. Pembroke would hold the lead for the remainder of the race.
Because the decision about next year’s supplier is taking so long, F1 teams are designing their 2011 cars around the current specification of Bridgestone tyre.
